A new psychological thriller will be hitting our screens this January. ITV's Playing Nice, which is set in Cornwall, follows the story of two couples who discover that their three-year-old sons, Theo and David, were actually switched at birth in a mix up.

The new miniseries explores the couples' huge dilemma: do they keep the sons they have raised and loved, or reclaim their biological child? The series begins on Sunday evening, January 5, and will include four episodes all together. For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.

The limited series is based on a best-selling novel by British thriller author JP Delaney. Playing Nice has been adapted for TV by Malpractice writer Grace Ofori-Attah and produced by Studiocanal and Rabbit Track Pictures. Ahead of its airing, ITV drama commissioner Helen Perry said: "Playing Nice is an enthralling thriller with a knotty moral dilemma at its heart.

"Not only will viewers be hooked, they'll be left questioning 'What would I do...?' As Grace Ofori-Attah's superb script raises questions about the nature of parenting and how far we'll go for those we love." The series also includes a stellar cast, including BBC's Happy Valley star James Norton and ITV's Downton Abbey actress Jessica Brown Findlay amongst others.
