Mark Williams promised to celebrate winning the world championship by not going to bed until it was daylight.
He carried out that pledge, but when he did finally make back to his hotel room he tweeted how he had somehow ended up in bed with another man.
The Welsh snooker player had been keeping his fans informed of his big night out on social media.
And just after 11am he tweeted a picture of him in bed with fellow snooker player and coach Lee Walker.
He wrote: "The morning after, not really sure how I'm in bed with Lee Walker but who cares."
He also showed off a picture of his new trophy taking pride of place in the hotel room.
And tweeted "Omg I feel like s**t" - which is not a surprise if you go on an all-nighter when you're 43!
It's a big difference from the last time he won 15 years ago, when he went to bed with "half a pint of milk."
But at the post match interview, where he turned up naked, he promised it would be "daylight" before he got to bed.
The man nicknamed the Welsh Potting Machine withstood an incredible fightback from John Higgins to land his third Crucible title.
Williams fulfilled another promise to hold his press conference naked - although he wore a towel to protect his modesty.
He made the suggestion as a joke early in the tournament, hardly believing he would carry off the silverware.
Williams was roared into the media room and said: "Cold in here, isn't it!"
Asked how his success felt, Williams said: "It feels a little bit uncomfortable at the minute. I had to wear the towel on the orders of Barry Hearn otherwise I would just have walked in, just crying.
"It's an unbelievable story. Twelve months ago I was thinking about chucking it, and here I am doing an interview having won the 2018 World Championship, naked.
"If I won this again next year, I'd do this again - I'd cartwheel round here naked.
"I'm going to party the night away. Last time I won it I think I had half a pint of milk and went to bed. I'm not going to bed this time - it'll be daylight before I get to bed."
