After a blistery, and in some places snowy, weekend of weather, Monday morning continues the cold and wet burst as a number of Met Office weather warnings remain in place. Over the weekend much of Wales was covered by a yellow weather warning for snow, with some areas even being issued an amber warning.
However a yellow weather warning for rain was issued for the hours following this, meaning that anyone who was hoping to wake up to a blanket of the white stuff on Sunday morning were mostly left disappointed. Some areas like Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly as well as higher areas like the Brecon Beacons were more affected than others.
Looking ahead this week, so far the Met Office has issued a number of warnings across the UK for Monday, with two affecting Wales. One warning is for snow and ice, and the other is for rain. Join our WhatsApp news community here for the latest breaking news. You will receive updates from us daily.
