“City Tire Pros” Players of the Week – December 23rd-28th

ZANESVILLE, OH

As 2024 comes to a close, we have had the change to honor many an athlete, whether it’s football, basketball, you name it.

So for one final time this calendar year, let’s take a look at the top players from last week’s basketball action with our Players of the Week, brought to you by City Tire Pros.

In Maysville’s trip all the way to Canton on Friday, the team had a ball by beating a newfound shot clock and the Carrollton Warriors in a game you heard on Highway 103. In that 82-74 victory, junior Landon Iden finished with a near double-double, 11 points and 9 assists as the Panthers improved to 6-1 this season.

Then over on AM 1240, Meadowbrook fought off a resilient Zanesville on Saturday afternoon, led by 16 points from Jacob Burris, as the Colts were lights out from beyond the arc for their second win of the year.

Our Z92 matchup saw Sheridan hit the road to face Fairfield Union. Despite the loss, Evan Anderson continued his steady play this year with 23 points, as the senior continues to lead by example for the Generals.
