ZANESVILLE, OH – Luck may be on your side tonight with the Mega Millions drawing.

After there was no ticket matching all six numbers on Christmas Eve, the already large prize has grown to an estimated $1.15 Billion.

People were out today, getting their hands on what is hopefully the winning ticket.

Jeffery and Laura Robinson say they play every Friday for a chance to retire in style.

“We play every Friday, whether it’s a billion or million, whatever it is.” Jeffery said. “My aunt back in 1985 hit the Arizona Lottery for $2.5 Million, so if she can hit it I can hit it too.”

Mark Lane Sr., the Manager of Mother Tucker’s, says it’s been pretty busy in the store, with not only the Mega Millions but also the Power Ball drawing.

He says it would be an amazing feeling to know he sold the winning $1.15 Billion ticket to someone from the area.

“That would be awesome and great, it really would.” Lane Sr. said. “I know how people have a hard time and it makes me feel good even when they win $1,000. It really makes me feel good knowing somebody got a brighter day.”

Lottery tickets are sold in 45 States, Washington D.C. and in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
