2024 “Countdown to Kickoff” Set for “The Barn” in Zanesville

ZANESVILLE, OH

The “Countdown to Kickoff” radio show is back and will be broadcasting live on Highway 103 and Z92 this Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.. This exciting show will shine a spotlight on our local high school sports. This year’s show will feature nine coaches from nine different teams, providing fans with an exclusive look at what to expect this season.

“They’ll get an insight as to where the coaches are going and where, you know, where they think their teams are at. So it kind of gives listeners and viewers the opportunity to get inside track on the coaches and their plans.” said Jay Benson, Director of Sales at WHIZ.

For a fun and lively atmosphere, head over to “The Barn” on Linden Avenue in Zanesville. They’ll be giving away a Visa gift card to the team that brings the most supporters to “The Barn” during the broadcast.

“We’re going to have pizza for all the teams, all the participating coaches, all that kind of stuff. It’s exciting for us just to be a part of it and have all the teams come down and be part of the event” added owner of “The Barn”, Jim Watson. “So the team that brings the most supporters is going to win a $500 Visa gift card to benefit their boosters program. So that’s exciting, and we’ve got some great, exciting teams here in our local area, including Rosecrans, Meadowbrook and the Blue Devils right here in Zanesville”.

If you miss the live broadcast, don’t worry, you can catch an hour long version of the show on Fox 5 this Saturday morning at 9 am or on Sunday morning at 8 am.
