The Leica D-Lux7 did not disappoint at the car show, which was my first outing with it.
Truthfully, I haven’t shot with a D-Lux camera since the 5! I find it much easier to ‘go to work’ with an actual camera than with a mobile device, especially if you come from a generation before the digital camera revolution. This Leica is an extremely versatile tool with great dynamic range, autofocus, and zoom. The .jpgs straight out of the camera are the ticket here. When you want that snapshot experience with immediate results, the D-Lux camera will get the job done with class.
It’s very easy to work with the frame lines on the camera for your compositions also.

The D-Lux 7 Renders Clouds quite nicely. I think with other cameras shooting without any stacking of exposures the sky would of been completely blown out.
One of the more difficult things to achieve on Micro Four Thirds is the bokeh you get on Full Frame cameras. The trade-off is exceptional depth of field. This photo was shot wide open at f/1.7. I can’t wait to see the images that can be produced with the new version of this camera. Every photo is a clickable link to the blog’s Flickr page, taking you to each specific photo. While this isn’t a review by any means, all the photos are shared in an album. I hope you enjoyed some of the photos!
