Apple engineers apparently already testing the Apple Watch in the wild

*Actors, not actual Apple employees

The Apple Watch is only shipping early next year, after being announced earlier this month, and Apple engineers are reportedly already sporting the wearable in the wild. According to reports on Twitter, Apple engineers have been spotted with the sport model at their usual bus stops en route to work:

Of course, they were carrying the new iPhones, too. We’ll know how the battery life is if they’re still wearing the watches when they return to the bus stop tonight. Another reader spotted the Raffi model last week:

Huh? Can’t they charge it at work?

Given that a recent survey revealed a 15 percent adoption rate, these employees may be the only ones who will ever wear it!

15% of what? 15% of everyone is the survey? That’s huge – congrats Apple.

I still don’t want one until I know more about what it does. But 15% is a great start.

I can’t see myself buying one of these, particularly with that short battery life.

What I would like is a watch-like accessory that vibrates when I get a call, even when my iPhone is yards away. That’d be great for places where ringing phones are frowned upon. It’s also be great as a wrist- or ankle-worn alarm that would wake up one person without bothering the other.
