Lets take a look at the Q9A wireless earbuds. These Bluetooth 4.1 headphones have received a solid 4.3/5 star rating from over 300 Amazon customers. SoundPEATS has opted to include the aptX codec, which allows for higher quality audio playback. Battery life is slated for around five hours of use on a single charge. In our testing, this largely held true. Over the course of a month, the Q9A was good for 3-4 trips to the gym. There are on-board controls that allows users to play or pause music, skip tracks and pair with devices. SoundPEATS opted to include hooks to help with securing the earbuds in place during workouts.
I was initially skeptical of the quality of these Bluetooth earbuds. Like any consumer electronics product category, there is always a higher quality option out there. To my surprise, the Q9As don’t feel cheap. This pair doesn’t have the refined fit and finish of my JayBird X2’s but I didn’t have any concerns with them breaking. When it comes to workout headphones, my personal preference is to not make a heavy investment. For less than $20, the Q9As provide a good value that is great for a trip to the gym or run on the treadmill.
