In today's document I explain it in more deatail. If you are searching for some help in grasping the BIM Basics 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 "𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗦" 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁.

Parametric Modeling is Impossible with Autodesk 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁 .?  But 𝗕𝗜𝗠 𝗕𝗔𝗠 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗠 made The KAFD Metro Station by Zaha Hadid Architects The King Abdullah Finance District (KAFD) is a metro station in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It’s complex geometry forced Architects to develop their bespoke software to model the project. 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧 The shape is exaggerated form the effect of the winds on the desert’s sand, which produced a repetitive pattern of sine-waves for the facades. The pattern harmonizes with the cultural environment and reduces the high solar rays on the building. 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘  This complicated and rounded geometry was impossible to model in 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁, so the Zaha Hadid Architects team decided to develop their own bespoke 𝗕𝗜𝗠 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 to work with it. This station is one of the 100 from the expanded Metro circuitry being handed into 𝗕𝗜𝗠 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟮. Revit and IFC 𝗕𝗜𝗠 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀, that meet 𝗟𝗢𝗗 𝟯𝟱𝟬, given to the client on achievement as a 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 condition.  𝗦𝗢𝗙𝗧𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗪 : 𝕄𝕒𝕪𝕒 – ℂ𝔸𝔻 – ℝ𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕠 – ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕥  The architectural design started with the modeling software 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗮, from there it was turned into a flat polygon meshes and imported into the 𝗖𝗔𝗗 package 𝗥𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗼, Architects made the necessary changes to the information in order to create a flat and exact geometry that could be laid out in 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁. 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗦  The early clash detection process with 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 create a large number of clashes, but on the second stages of delivery, this number was reduced to a 𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗮𝘁 +/-𝟬.𝟭𝟬 𝗺𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. The team was able to deliver a complete federated and coordinated model in a soft stage, including MEP and structures . the main contractor is using 𝟰𝗗 and 𝟱𝗗 𝗕𝗜𝗠 processes to plan sequences of work and calculate the value of materials. 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 1- 𝘽𝙄𝙈 : 𝗕𝚞𝚒𝚕𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝗜𝚗𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝗠𝚘𝚍𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐 Represents the application of all design ideas, the use of information to create the model, 2- 𝘽𝘼𝙈 : 𝗕𝚞𝚒𝚕𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝗔𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚕𝚢 𝗠𝚘𝚍𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐 Different models from all disciplines are collected to study the conflicts that may result from the design - saves 25-30% of the costs by avoiding possible conflicts 3- 𝘽𝙊𝙊𝙈 : 𝗕𝚞𝚒𝚕𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝗢𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚒𝚣𝚎𝚍 𝗢𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 𝗠𝚘𝚍𝚎𝚕 Model is represented in the maintenance and building management phase and systems employed to sustain the building life . What's the difference between a BIM Coordinator and a Manager?  The answer is not easy. From my personal experience - I worked on various BIM projects, countries  and companies. One of the most confusing things for beginners who want to learn about BIM is the various terms. The BIM world often uses sophisticated language and overcomplicates things. Hence, I tried to make it as simple as possible. For sure, you will find several similar lists on the internet... but today I wanted to present mine. I have gathered several important BIM terms, adding just a few sentences of explanation for each. Many believe that Revit is BIM. But let’s clear up the confusion: Revit is a tool, but BIM is a process. Here’s the difference: 1. BIM is a Methodology ↳ Collaboration and data management. ↳ Teams working together on projects. 2. Revit is a Tool ↳ Creates and manages BIM models. ↳ One tool in the BIM toolbox. 3. BIM Needs Multiple Tools ↳ No single software does it all. ↳ Different tools for different tasks. 4. Revit Supports BIM ↳ Enhances BIM, but isn’t BIM. ↳ Understand the whole process. 5. BIM is About Information ↳ Manages project data lifecycle. ↳ Revit contributes to data handling. 6. Collaboration is Key ↳ BIM fosters teamwork, coordination. ↳ Revit aids, but collaboration is vital. 7. BIM Enhances Project Outcomes ↳ Efficiency, not just 3D models. ↳ Revit aids success but isn’t enough. Revit is crucial, but it’s just a tool within the larger BIM framework. 🚀 Aspectos Clave Para La Creación de Una Biblioteca de Familias BIM🏗️ 📂 ORGANIZACIÓN DE LA BIBLIOTECA DE FAMILIAS BIM: Utilizar el método de nomenclatura de carpetas basado en la norma ISO 19650 para BIM. 🔄 VERSIONES DE ARCHIVOS REVIT: Mantener un sistema de control de versiones para las familias. Archivar versiones anteriores para facilitar la reversión si es necesario. 👥 RESPONSABILIDADES DEL EQUIPO: Designar a un responsable de la biblioteca de familias BIM. Asignar roles y responsabilidades claras para la creación, modificación y gestión de familias. 🔍 SEGUIMIENTO Y ACTUALIZACIONES: Establecer un proceso para el seguimiento de las familias utilizadas en los proyectos. Programar revisiones periódicas de la biblioteca para identificar y corregir posibles errores. 🔧 DIFERENCIACIÓN ENTRE FAMILIAS DE ARQUITECTURA E INSTALACIONES: Etiquetar claramente las familias según su categoría. Utilizar parámetros y propiedades compartidas para facilitar la coordinación. 📝 DOCUMENTACIÓN DE LAS FAMILIAS: Acompañar cada familia con documentación detallada. Incluir imágenes representativas y ejemplos de uso. 📊 SEGUIMIENTO DE LA UTILIZACIÓN DE LAS FAMILIAS: Implementar un sistema para realizar un seguimiento de la frecuencia de uso. Analizar los datos para identificar tendencias y necesidades emergentes. 📦 ARCHIVO DE FAMILIAS HISTÓRICAS: Establecer un sistema de archivo para versiones anteriores. Mantener un registro junto con la fecha de creación y descripción de cambios. 🔒 SEGURIDAD Y PROTECCIÓN DE DATOS: Implementar medidas de seguridad contra accesos no autorizados. Utilizar herramientas de cifrado y copias de seguridad regulares. 📅 PLANIFICACIÓN DE LA ACTUALIZACIÓN DE SOFTWARE Y FORMATOS DE ARCHIVO: Establecer un calendario regular para actualizar el software. 📢 NOVETAT !!!! 👉 Ja teniu disponible al Geoportal de Cartografia la nova versió Beta dels models #BIM del territori en format #IFC elaborats a partir del Mapa Topogràfic Metropolità 1:1.000 (MTM-1M). Aquesta nova versió (febrer de 2024) incorpora els següents canvis i millores en relació a la versió anterior: ✅ S'ha canviat la geometria dels objectes terreny perquè sigui més compatible amb els programaris de modelat 3D (Revit, Archicad, etc). ✅ S'ha incorporat la classificació GuBIMclass en els elements. ✅ S'ha modificat el sistema de coordenades locals dels elements referenciant-los al Site per mantenir les coordenades UTM. Amb aquest canvi es corregeix la tremolor dels objectes en moure's pel model amb alguns programaris. ✅ S'han ajustat les classes dels elements terreny passant-los d'IfcSite a IfcBuildingElement Proxy. ✅ S'han incorporat alguns atributs propis, tant als objectes com a l'IfcProject, de les metadades provinents de cartografia com les dates de vol, de revisió de camp i d'actualització dels elements en un Property Set 9 AMB.ExtensioTemporal. ✅ S'han definit les unitats de longitud, superfície, volum, etc. 👉 Accedint al Geoportal de Cartografia us podeu descarregar de forma gratuita les dues versions Beta disponibles, la de març de 2023 (202303) i la de febrer de 2024 (202402) tot i que us recomanem que feu servir aquesta última perquè és la que està més optimitzada. Veureu que hem incorporat un enllaç amb l'històric dels canvis (al costat del desplegable on s'escull la versió) on s'expliquen els canvis d'una versió a una altra. ✨ Us animem a que incorporeu aquests models BIM en format IFC en els vostres projectes d'edificació i infraestrures. Us donaran una visió continua del territori metropolità ja que permeten disposar d’una cartografia 3D de l’entorn dels projectes. Aquest nou producte trasllada al món BIM el rigor en la generació de bases cartogràfiques oficials de precisió (MTM-1M) i, a més de servir per donar continuïtat als projectes, també té múltiples aplicacions com: realitzar estudis d’assolellament, comprovacions per a la correcta georeferenciació dels projectes, estudis lumínics, estudis de visibilitat, etc. Seguim treballant per connectar el món #GIS amb el món #BIM a través dels Models BIM del territori en format #IFC.
