Auction Records: Andy Warhol🥫 Andy Warhol's silkscreens have shattered records and captivated art enthusiasts worldwide. But do you know their actual worth? These three works stand out as the most expensive ones. Shot Sage Blue Marilyn The record of $195 million was set at the Christie's auction in 2022. This is not a "painting" in the strict sense of the word, but silkscreen print, although it is metre by metre in size. The price is impressive: the last time such a silkscreen Marilyn (there were five prints in the series) appeared at auction in 1998, and was sold for $17 million in total. That is, a tenfold jump. White Disaster The image of the car accident was sold for $105.4 million in 2013 at Sotheby's. The size of this silkscreen is 2.4 by 4.0 metres. This work was part of his "Death and Disaster" series.
