The 21st Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award has honoured seven winners from #AbuDhabi’s business ecosystem, recognising their contributions to fostering a culture of innovation and creating a meaningful impact in their communities, and supporting the emirate’s economic vision.

Under the patronage of the UAE President, Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed has honoured the winners of the 21st edition of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The award fosters a culture of innovation and excellence across the business sector.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber signed a strategic pact with the Shanghai Federation of Industry & Commerce to boost trade, investment, and support for Chinese companies entering Abu Dhabi’s thriving market—a global hub for digital and sustainable growth. The agreement strengthens economic ties, creating a platform for trade, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration, solidifying Abu Dhabi’s position as a top global business destination.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber hosted the “Abu Dhabi-Shanghai Business Connect” in Shanghai, with the participation of over 35 private sector companies, as part of an economic delegation visit led by H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, to the People’s Republic of China. The event featured high-level meetings and business engagements between Abu Dhabi’s government representatives and Chinese investors, strengthening investment and trade flows from China to Abu Dhabi and supporting the expansion of local businesses into China’s dynamic markets.

H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber, opened the "Abu Dhabi-Shanghai Business Connect," revealing a 16% rise in Chinese investments in the UAE and a staggering 120% jump in UAE investments in China by 2023, accounting for 90% of all Arab investments in China. H.E. also noted a 38% rise in registered Chinese companies at the Chamber in 2023, followed by a further 69.4% increase in 2024, reflecting attractiveness of Abu Dhabi to Chinese businesses and investors.

In the presence of H.E. Geraldo Werthein, Argentinian Foreign Minister; H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; and H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, the Chamber hosted an economic seminar in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, welcoming a high-level trade delegation from Argentina. The seminar highlighted Argentina’s new investment law framework, “Rigi,” and explored promising investment opportunities in priority sectors, along with the exceptional incentives and facilitation measures available to international investors. The event brought together a distinguished group of experts and representatives from sovereign funds and leading companies across key economic sectors from both sides.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber, in collaboration with the German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce, organized a business meeting with the participation of 24 high-level German figures from various economic sectors, including industry, energy, advanced technologies, banking, financial services, commodities, and other key commercial activities in Germany. The meeting explored opportunities to enhance trade cooperation, exchange expertise, and identify investment prospects between the two business communities. This initiative aligns with the Chamber’s commitment to fostering partnerships and promoting Abu Dhabi as a leading business hub.

In line with its strategic partnership with Siemens Energy, the Abu Dhabi Chamber participated in the "Adapting AI in Critical Infrastructure Summit", organised by Siemens Energy. The event gathered industry leaders and experts to explore the impact of AI and digital solutions on sectors like energy, transport, and water management. The Business Advocacy Sector at the Abu Dhabi Chamber has achieved a series of milestones that have significantly enhanced the competitiveness of the private sector in Abu Dhabi.
