The Abu Dhabi Chamber hosted the “Abu Dhabi-Shanghai Business Connect” in Shanghai, with the participation of over 35 private sector companies, as part of an economic delegation visit led by H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, to the People’s Republic of China. The event featured high-level meetings and business engagements between Abu Dhabi’s government representatives and Chinese investors, strengthening investment and trade flows from China to Abu Dhabi and supporting the expansion of local businesses into China’s dynamic markets.

H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber, opened the "Abu Dhabi-Shanghai Business Connect," revealing a 16% rise in Chinese investments in the UAE and a staggering 120% jump in UAE investments in China by 2023, accounting for 90% of all Arab investments in China. H.E. also noted a 38% rise in registered Chinese companies at the Chamber in 2023, followed by a further 69.4% increase in 2024, reflecting attractiveness of Abu Dhabi to Chinese businesses and investors.

In the presence of H.E. Geraldo Werthein, Argentinian Foreign Minister; H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; and H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, the Chamber hosted an economic seminar in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, welcoming a high-level trade delegation from Argentina. The seminar highlighted Argentina’s new investment law framework, “Rigi,” and explored promising investment opportunities in priority sectors, along with the exceptional incentives and facilitation measures available to international investors. The event brought together a distinguished group of experts and representatives from sovereign funds and leading companies across key economic sectors from both sides.
