Axendo’s Director for Nigeria, Adesola Fadahunsi, had the privilege of attending Global Trade Review (GTR) Africa in London last week and was able to meet clients from The Access Bank UK Limited   The event created an opportunity for Adesola to network with over 500 participants and meet with key existing and potential clients in the trade finance space. The conference also included strategic panel sessions that discussed key topics around macro-economic analysis for African trade, strategies for creating effective finance models for intra-African development, working capital needs for African SMEs and the scope for structural and credit solutions, trade trends in North Africa and strategies for local bank and liquidity resilience with a focus on Egypt as the primary economy in the region.   With Axendo’s trade credit solutions and expertise in procurement it can help to further the development of trade finance in Africa.  Axendo's Director for Nigeria, Adesola Fadahunsi, and Director for East Africa, Simon Mwangi, participated in GTR Egypt - Trade and export finance conference held last week.   With over 30 industry leading speakers, the conference explored Egypt’s economic recovery, strategic realignment of trade corridors and supply chains, and overcoming barriers and bottlenecks through digitisation.   Discussions explored export credit and supply chain finance and the evolving role of corporate treasury in navigating today’s market challenges. Axendo’s Managing Director for Africa Marieme Niang Camara had the privilege of attending the UK-Senegal Trade & Investment Mission last week. This event was chaired by UK Minister for Africa, Lord Collins, and co-chaired by Dr. Serigne Gueye Diop, Ministre de l’Industrie et du Commerce, and was attended by 54 private sector representatives from over 40 companies. Discussions centered around infrastructure development and project financing, with Senegal’s strong commitment to modernising its key sectors presenting exciting avenues for collaboration between the countries. #Senegal continues to serve as a key gateway to #WestAfrica, with dynamic markets, a stable political environment and ambitious reforms aimed at attracting investment in the #agricultural and #industrial sectors. During the event, they connected with Industry leaders and potential partners. WorldFood Istanbul has been a key meeting point for food and beverage producers and leading buyers in Türkiye for the past 31 years. The fair offers an ideal platform for foreign companies to explore the Turkish food sector, connect with industry players and buyers, and promote their products to new markets. Axendo remains dedicated to creating a significant #impact through its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives aimed at supporting orphanages in Senegal and Kenya. We focus on sustainable development projects that empower communities and enhance the lives of orphaned children. This commitment continues to be a top priority for us. Since 2018, Axendo has been actively involved in supporting the La Pouponnière Vivre Ensemble, an Orphanage in Mbour, Senegal. Recently, our team in Senegal led by Wendy Kinyeki visited the orphanage and delivered essential #supplies, including several types of powdered milk, cooking oil, vegetables, canned foods, detergent powder, and other necessities. The Orphanage Manager, Mr. Gaye, and his team expressed deep gratitude for our continued support, and highlighted how the supplies will help to alleviate their food expenses for a significant period. Axendo has already supported the orphanage in making renovations and upgrades since 2018 and is now exploring further contributions towards major renovations required by the orphanage. Through steadfast partnerships and ongoing efforts, Axendo aims to foster a nurturing environment where children can flourish and achieve their full potential. These #CSR initiatives underscore Axendo's commitment to social responsibility and ethical business practices, illustrating how corporations can positively impact society and make enduring differences in the lives of those who are most in need. The collected donations have been successfully sent to the orphanages in Senegal and Kenya.    Together, we collected: 350 clothing items, 44 pairs of shoes, 25 toys, 18 bedding items, 13 water bottles, 8 books, 5 bags/backpacks and other essentials.   Our initiatives grow each year, reflecting our dedication to long-term commitments and lasting impact.    Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these children!
