Being Consultant is 1 year young, and we’ve only just begun! This morning, I saw these beautiful flowers at a roadside shop and couldn’t resist buying them—Lily buds, ready to bloom and share their fragrance, and a Sunflower, about to burst open and light up the world. It struck me how perfectly these flowers represent where Being Consultant stands today. We are blossoming into a vibrant platform, system, and community rooted in three core beliefs: 1.⁠ ⁠Problem-solving is a life skill for all. You don’t need to be a strategist or a consultant. The ability to solve problems in a structured way, make decisions based on sound logic, and communicate convincingly—these are skills and mindsets everyone should acquire and continuously refine. 2.⁠ ⁠Success isn’t just about breaking into consulting (or any other competitive field); it’s about thriving and being happy in the role. It takes a different mindset—one focused on building skills and character, not just cracking exams or interviews. 3.⁠ ⁠Giver’s gain. A community of like-minded professionals with a ‘giver’ mentality is immensely powerful. There’s a special joy in growing together—being at the top is so much better when you have company, and when one hand is busy pulling others up alongside you. 1,000+ MBB mentees, 3,000+ community members—these are outcomes. But what really gives me goosebumps is seeing the hundreds of problems being solved and the thousands of relationships being shaped.
