Databroker is a blockchain-supported marketplace for data that operates in its own name or as a white label. It allows the exchange and monetization of any type of data (IoT sensor data, files, APIs, data streams, and more). Data buyers and sellers can connect via the Databroker platform and exchange data securely on a peer-to-peer basis. A growing number of data providers are utilising the platform to showcase and monetise their data assets, while buyers are finding the data they need to increase operational efficiencies, bring value add, and unlock new markets. Beyond that, Databroker integrates a personalised “data matching” service to help buyers and sellers understand and discover their data exchange opportunities. Alternatively, data-rich companies can, if they wish, leverage the white-labeled Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution to operate their own data exchange Platforms. Using Databroker technology, new marketplaces for data are emerging in a variety of verticals, from chemical safety study data to smart city data portals. Databroker manages all financial transactions, acts as escrow, and applies blockchain-based smart contracts to enable the sharing of data safely between both parties.
