Today we announced our half-year results for the financial year 2024-25. We continued to enhance our operations and services to meet continued solid demand across our cargo and ground handling, catering and retail, and travel services businesses. Highlights include significant investments in advanced infrastructure and equipment, major contract wins with leading partners, and strategic initiatives to progress our environmental agenda and reduce emissions globally. Our customer-oriented teams handled more than 391,000 aircraft turns, moved over 1.5 million tonnes of cargo, uplifted 62.7 million meals, and recorded a total transaction value (TTV) of travel services of US$ 1.2 billion. We've installed 986 solar panels on the roof of dnata City East, our cargo facility at London Heathrow. These new solar panels generate 442,000 kWh of energy annually, which is enough electricity to power the entire facility. This initiative is another positive step in dnata's environmental sustainability journey. #wearednata

Emirates Group and Dubai Airports have released an economic impact study reaffirming aviation’s role as a major engine propelling Dubai’s economy. In 2023, aviation added AED 137 billion (USD $37.3 billion) to Dubai’s economy, equivalent to 27% of GDP. It supports 631,000 jobs and is forecasted to add another 185,000 jobs by 2030, with contributions set to rise to more than a third of Dubai’s GDP. Aviation’s far-reaching catalytic impact on other industries drives a spectrum of economic activity, supporting Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33), boosting its global competitiveness and placing it at the forefront for trade and tourism. After severe flooding led to 5 months of closure, Porto Alegre-Salgado Filho International Airport (POA) has officially reopened. With 30% of its traffic returning this week, dnata's team on the ground in Brazil have been working hard to assist in the airport's rebuild. The team has recovered and salvaged 20% of our ground support equipment affected by the floods, and we are mobilising the remaining required vehicles from our other bases. These efforts have ensured smooth ground operations for our airline customers, as they begin returning to POA. #wearednata

We congratulate Hiranjan Aloysius, a long-standing member of our team, on his well-deserved promotion to the position of dnata Catering & Retail’s Regional Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific. Since joining dnata in 2005, Hiranjan has been instrumental in expanding our catering and retail footprint in Australia. His remit will now cover both Australia and Singapore, with further expansion planned in the region.
