We are pleased to announce the successful structural stacking of the Hugin A Wellbay topside module, marking a key milestone in its fabrication. The 30,000-tonne Hugin A Topside will function as the centre platform of the Aker BP ASA -operated Yggdrasil area on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, designed to serve as the processing hub for oil stabilisation, produced water treatment, and subsea injection. Comprising of three decks, the module has been meticulously assembled at the final loadout location at our yard. With structural stacking complete, work now advances to piping, electrical, insulation and installations, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality offshore solutions. Our teams have demonstrated exceptional expertise across detailed engineering, structural fabrication, surface protection, prefabrication of piping and mechanical equipment installation in compliance with NORSOK standards. To mark this achievement, Capt. Rado Antolovic PhD, CEO – Drydocks World along with Sturla Magnus, Executive Vice President New Build from Aker Solutions and Knut Sandvik, Senior Vice President of Projects from Aker BP ASA, along with their teams celebrated this milestone recognising the collective effort that has brought the project to this stage. Our recent Beach Clean-up was a powerful demonstration of teamwork and commitment to sustainability, led by Drydocks World in collaboration with our incredible partners. In line with DP World’s Ocean Strategy to protect and restore oceans, over 100 volunteers dedicated their time to cleaning the shores, learning about marine conservation, and contributing to a sustainable future. Volunteers from Drydocks World in collaboration with DP World, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Holding, Abela & Co, Tadweer Waste Management and Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation united to clean up litter and promote ocean conservation. By working together, we contribute to United Nations Sustainability Development Goals - Life Below Water and Life on Land - protecting our oceans, coastlines, and biodiversity - because a cleaner environment starts with action! Let’s continue to act for a cleaner future!

We are proud to introduce the CH 320 CNC bending machine, a new addition to our pipe shop - a cutting-edge machine that enhances precision, efficiency, and fabrication capabilities, enabling us to bend pipes from 6” (DN150) to 12” (DN300) with thicknesses ranging from 7mm to 17mm. This new investment enhances our ability to execute high-volume conversion, EPC, and ship repair projects by streamlining fabrication, reducing lead times, and increasing overall efficiency—allowing us to deliver multiple projects simultaneously with greater speed and precision. Moreover, we are opening our advanced pipe bending services to external clients across maritime, energy, and other industrial sectors. By integrating advanced technology, this machine streamlines production, reduces the need for additional welding and materials and improves overall workflow efficiency. The new bending machine alone is expected to drive a 5–10% increase in productivity, further strengthening in-house capabilities. These enhancements allow us to execute complex projects with greater speed and accuracy, reinforcing our ability to meet growing industry demands while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance. As Drydocks World continues to invest in innovation, we remain focused on optimising our infrastructure and pushing the boundaries of operational excellence. This latest upgrade is another step toward ensuring success from state-of-the-art engineering solutions that drive efficiency and reliability across every project.

With advanced automation, optimised blasting coverage, and precision priming, this facility streamlines operations while improving turnaround times. By investing in cutting-edge solutions, we continue to raise industry standards, reinforcing our commitment to delivering world-class maritime services. As we move forward, our focus remains on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability, shaping the future of the maritime industry.

At Drydocks World, the health and safety of our workforce remain at the core of everything we do. Our state-of-the-art medical clinic, operating 24/7, ensures that employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders have access to high-quality healthcare services whenever needed.   Last week, we celebrated the arrival of two new ambulances, expanding our fleet to four fully equipped emergency response vehicles. These ambulances not only strengthen our ability to respond rapidly to medical emergencies but also enhance emergency preparedness across our operations and the surrounding community.   From routine check-ups to emergency response, our dedicated medical professionals provide comprehensive care, supporting our workforce of over 20,000, including subcontractors. But our impact extends beyond our own workforce, through blood donation drives, flu vaccination programs, and vision care initiatives, we are actively contributing to the well being of the wider community.   A healthy workforce is a strong workforce, and our commitment to well-being goes beyond our shipyard, reinforcing our dedication to health, safety, and social responsibility in every aspect of what we do.
