It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Colm McLoughlin, a founding member of the Dubai Irish Golf Society and a cherished friend to us all. Colm’s unwavering support through Dubai Duty Free helped build our society into the vibrant community it is today — the largest and best of its kind in the UAE. His passion for golf, dedication to the society, and genuine warmth will be deeply missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. Our pinnacle event of the year, the Mark Fahy Memorial, was won by Diarmuid Murphy at the stunning Fire Couse at Jumeirah Golf Estates on Saturday. Our Christmas Cracker event was another great day out out in December. We played the Trump International Golf Club, Dubai and had lots of very competitive groups shooting big scores. All the prizes were provided by our event sponsor Solas. Special shout out to our captain Eoin Sheridan who leads the Solas team.
