The International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) is a non-profit trade association that is the global leader in advancing the oil-and-gas and geothermal drilling and completion industry worldwide. IADC’s contract-drilling Members own most of the world’s drilling units, both on land and offshore, and drill the vast majority of the wells that produce the planet’s oil and gas. We welcome the Membership of all types of companies across the industry that share a commitment to improving safety and the environment, advancing drilling technology, striving for reasonable regulation and legislation, and enhancing personnel competence. The IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter (IADC-SAPC) is a non-profit organization consisting of members from various oil and gas companies. Our members gather quarterly to exchange information, foster networking opportunities, and drive progress and improvement within the oil and gas industry. Additionally, the Chapter actively raises funds for approved charitable causes, furthering our commitment to making a positive impact in the community. The IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter (IADC-SAPC) is also proud to host one of the most prestigious and highly regarded golf tournaments in the region. This two-day tournament takes place annually in March and is held across both courses of the renowned Emirates Golf Club. With an average of 100 teams participating each year, this event provides a remarkable opportunity for networking, The IADC-SAPC's workgroup leads include the Charity Workgroup, Contracts Workgroup, Supply Chain Workgroup, and HSE Workgroup. Each workgroup strives to improve industry practices, foster knowledge sharing, and expand opportunities for its members.

Highlights included insights on geothermal technology and Liter of Light's inspiring solar initiative. We are happy to have Gareth Burrows re-elected as our Chapter Secretary. Driving Change and Sustainability at the IADC-SAPC Q4 Chapter Meeting 🌍 On November 8th, members of the Allrig team had the opportunity to attend the IADC Southern Arabian Peninsula Chapter (IADC-SAPC) Q4 Chapter Meeting, one of the most impactful gatherings of the year, where industry professionals convened to discuss sustainability and the essential role of ESG in our sector. From insightful presentations on sustainable products and supply chain practices, to updates on geothermal technology and projects in MENA, the event truly highlighted the shared commitment to building a responsible future for energy. Also at the event, the Liter of Light organisation touched the hearts of all who attended with their tireless endeavours and their design of an easy-to-build, repair, and maintain solar light, that can, and does, light up remote villages all over the world. Allrig’s Gareth Burrows was also re-elected as Secretary of the SAPC, marking another year of collaboration with colleagues and leaders who share our dedication to progress and ethical practices. This event has reaffirmed the importance of working together to bring meaningful advancements to our industry.
