Our CEO, Eng. Osama Abbas, delivered an insightful presentation on September 12th at the Global Glass Show 2024, held at the Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel in Dubai, UAE. During his session, Eng. Osama emphasized the performance evolution of glass within the built-enviromnet. From basic aesthetic-driven transpernacy to advanced high-performance roles including, but not limited to, acoustics, heat insulation, safety, blast and bullet resistance. The presentation also focused on "light and heat filters" and showcased an IBECE GROUP research into the "heat vs light" transmission capabilities of 8 internationally renowned coated glass manufacturers, presenting the ultimate limits of spectral selectivity within the contemporary market. Eng. Osama also shed light on the increasing role of facades in the energy transition. For example the use of the glass surface or cladding as an energy generator - using Building Integrated Photo Voltaics. Also high performance glass can become a financially-lucrative media surface, whether via static printed images or via transparent glass-embedded LEDs. The presentation's technical solidity and vast expsouure to market trends further reinforces IBECE GROUP leading position within the MENA region. “The University of Qatar Success Story” The University of Qatar – New College of Law project is located in Doha, Qatar covering a total ground area of around 47,500 m2. The project is formed of one basement, a ground floor, three floors, a roof, and a top-of-roof floor. During the various phases of the project, IBECE provided multiple services such as Façade Structural Engineering, Concept Design Drawings, Façade Maintenance & Cleaning Strategy (BMU), Cost Schemes and Cost Analysis, Value Engineering, Glazing Selection, Site Supervision and others.
