ITALIAN PIZZA MAKES HISTORY IN DUBAI: A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD FOR SUSTAINABILITY With 2,059 pizzas, 12 teams of pizza makers broke the previous record of 1,800, setting a Guinness World Record for the Longest Line of Sustainable Pizzas. Using dough made with chemical-free Acqua di MHARE, the event emphasized sustainability, with all pizzas donated to charity via Hifz Al Niaama and Dubai Charity Association. This achievement was a highlight of the 15th Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit. The record was led by Italfood RAK, with support from San Felice - Molino Signetti, Esposito Forni, Bake N More, L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele Dubai, and Mhare. Participating teams included Dubai-based Pulcinella Restaurant, Eataly Arabia, Da Michele, Naughty Pizza, Acquamare by Cucina Marriott, Golositalia, Oregano, Trattoria, and guest teams from 48h Melbourne (Australia) and Scugniz by Mhare (Italy). Special recognition goes to the Official Qualified Witnesses led by Patrizia Marini and to Ivan Musoni, Culinary Director of the Summit, for outstanding coordination.

The Italian Industry & Commerce Office in the UAE - IICUAE (Camera di Commercio Italiana negli EAU) is a non-profit organization that offers consistent assistance to enterprises enhancing the socio-economical relations between Italy and the UAE. With a then different denomination, IICUAE was established in 1999 in Sharjah as a result of a venture developed by Turin's C.N.A (National Confederation of Artisans and Small and Medium Enterprises) and supported by the Piedmont Region and the Italian Trade Commission. In 2006, IICUAE initiated the process of being acknowledged by the Italian Government as an authorized overseas Italian Chamber of Commerce. On the 17th of November 2009, the Italian Ministry of Economic Development officially declared IICUAE as the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the UAE. Since June 2010, The Chamber hosts ENIT (Italian Government Tourist Board) with the aim of boosting the tourist relations between the two countries and further promoting the Italian tourism heritage. The mission of the Chamber is to enhance the socio-economical relations between Italy and the UAE. IICUAE plays an active role in organizing trade and institutional missions (incoming and outgoing), B2B meetings, market researches, recruiting and management of commercial agents, legal and fiscal consultancy, workshops, seminars and several types of events such as brands launching, promotional campaigns, fashion show, networking events, etc. It is primarily due to these activities that IICUAE has developed strong ties within UAE and in Italy, mainly with sectorial associations, public and governmental bodies and well known figures within the industrial and local media sectors.

From 26 to 28 October, Rome hosted the 25th Meeting of the General Directors of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad at the Courtyard Central Park. The event, divided into two days of plenary sessions, round tables and meetings with the public promotion system, focused on the theme of relaunching collaborations and strategies for promoting Made in Italy in the international context. The participation of the General Directors of the Chambers of Commerce from abroad was essential to strengthen the bond with Italian institutions and coordinate initiatives to support businesses. The plenary sessions represented an opportunity to take stock of the results and challenges faced by the various foreign markets, while the round tables allowed for an exchange of experiences and ideas on best practices to adopt to address an increasingly complex and competitive economic context. This event confirms the commitment of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad to supporting the international expansion of businesses, working to open new opportunities for growth and cooperation throughout the world.
