Thank you Mohamed ALi HASSAN for leading an insightful technical session on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS). Here are some key takeaways: 1. Grand Scale Importance: Implementing CCUS at a large scale is crucial for the energy transition and achieving Net Zero goals. 2. Safe Well Design: Ensuring proper and safe well design is essential for CCUS CO2 injection wells. 3. Innovative Workflow: Introduced a cloud-based software tool that streamlines regulatory well planning calculations and integrates third-party applications. 4. Design Challenges: Addressed main challenges for CO2 injection wells, including CO2 phase behavior, well integrity loss, cement degradation, equipment limitations, and corrosion risks. 5. Design Essentials: Highlighted the importance of using thermal simulators with dynamic time-step computation, selecting appropriate CO2 equations of state, conducting multi-string analysis across well tubulars, and integrating design tools with Flow Assurance Advanced Simulators. #CCUS #CarbonCapture #NetZero #EnergyTransition #WellDesign #CO2Injection #SustainableEnergy #Innovation #SoftwareTool #EnergyTech
