This took place at the first-ever Swedish Pavilion, arranged by the Embassy, at Tawdheef X Zaheb, featuring leading Swedish companies such as Alfa Laval, Atlas Copco, IKEA, and Saab. The discussion focused on inclusive leadership and Cecilia's experiences in leading large organizations in a way that emphasizes inclusion while maintaining a results-driven approach. They also touched on women empowerment, leading as a woman in male-dominated industries, and valuable advice for young professionals entering the job market—especially how to stand out, invest in personal development, and climb the career ladder. 🇸🇪🤝🇦🇪 Further Strengthening the Partnership Between Sweden and the UAE. This week, the Swedish Minister for Justice Gunnar Strömmer visited the United Arab Emirates on 25–26 November, marking another milestone in the strong and growing bilateral relations between our nations. During his visit, Minister Strömmer met H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior as well as H.E. Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice. 📜 Together, the Ministers of Justice signed two historic agreements on extradition of criminals and mutual legal assistance in criminal matters. These agreements underscore our shared commitment to combating transnational organized crime and enhancing global justice. Notably, the UAE is the first country in the region with which Sweden has signed such agreements. Ambassador Fredrik Florén hosted a reception in honour of Minister Strömmer, connecting him with the vibrant Swedish community and thriving Swedish businesses in the UAE. Minister Strömmer also visited the Embassy, where he engaged with the Embassy staff. A few weeks back, the Swedish Business Council was invited by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss their collaboration with regional business councils. Ahmed khalifa Al Qubaisi, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, spoke about the importance of these councils and their role in supporting various industries. The event brought together members of multiple business councils to strengthen ties with the Chamber, explore its latest initiatives, and discuss ways to enhance council contributions to Abu Dhabi’s business growth and sectoral diversity through knowledge exchange and mutual support.
