Throughout my career, I have achieved significant accomplishments and find myself in a position I never anticipated. I took an oath to safeguard the vulnerable and provide support to those in need. After leaving the military, I embarked on an uncertain journey, which ultimately led me to a beautiful location in Southwest Cornwall, United Kingdom, where I am happily married. I have dedicated nearly two decades of my professional life to the Ministry of Defence. In this role, I have encountered instances where I overlooked the whereabouts of a comrade I trusted and supported. I placed my trust in individuals I considered friends, only to discover the presence of hatred, racism, jealousy, and discrimination. Despite these challenges, I chose to focus my attention on assisting those in genuine need, disregarding the negative influences. Once again, I have proven that meaningful assistance is possible when driven by a genuine desire to help. I could not find peace knowing that children, families, the elderly, the lonely, and the vulnerable were suffering amidst the terrifying sounds of gunfire and explosions.
