Under the visionary directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the UAE Supreme Council, aimed at equipping Sharjah with state-of-the-art medical technologies, University Hospital Sharjah has introduced a cutting-edge high-field open MRI scanner (1.2 Tesla). The official inauguration of the MRI Department was attended by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Health Authority and Chairman of Board of Trustees, UHS, Mr. Michio Kondo, General Manager of Fujifilm Middle East, and Mr. Kinjal Zaveri, Group CEO of One Health. As the first of its kind in the Middle East and the UAE, this advanced system represents a transformative addition to healthcare services, underscoring the hospital’s commitment to innovation and excellence in patient care.
