We have launched the Port Community System (#PCS) in Guinea! 🇬🇳 During the grand launch event, Mr. Facinet Sylla, the Minister of Budget of the Republic of Guinea, highlighted the impact of the Port Community System by stating: "It improves coordination, reduces lead times, and boosts port productivity—benefiting trade and the cost of living."   At the event, which was also featured on TV, Mamoudou Diane, the Director General of Webb Fontaine Guinea, stated: "What’s special about this platform is that it’s a presidential priority, which interconnects all the players in the trade community with traceability and transparency. That’s all we want."   In the same interview, Yan Gascon, Webb Fontaine's Head of Implementation, emphasized: "The Port Community System in Guinea will centralize all expenses in a single system, bring transparency, and enable all authorities to track which expenses have been paid. The World Customs Organization Private Sector Consultative Group #PSCG fosters collaboration between customs authorities and the private sector to enhance trade facilitation. It shares best practices, engages in capacity building, and acts as a feedback mechanism for improving customs operations. We are proud to be among the select few PSCG members and to contribute to the overall goal of trade facilitation on a global scale. Today, we’re celebrating Eleanor Santiago and Michel Herbert for completing a decade with our company! 🎉 Michel is the Translation Team Leader at Webb Fontaine. He joined 10 years ago, bringing with him a rich career background that spans contracts management, marketing, and sales in the space industry. He later moved on to becoming a language specialist, teaching French as a foreign language at various prestigious schools and colleges in the Philippines. Michel has also worked as an interpreter and translator for several organizations. He is passionate about writing books, abstract art, and cooking. He already has three published books, has exhibited his artwork in galleries for over 20 years, and even ran a French restaurant in Manila before the pandemic! Eleanor is the Head of Finance for both Webb Fontaine Asia and the Webb Fontaine Manila Branch. In her own words: "Webb Fontaine has added invaluable colors to my career, enriching my experiences and deepening my commitment." Outside of work, Eleanor enjoys spending quality time with her family.
