We had the honor of meeting His Excellency President Abdirahman Irro, President of the Republic of Somaliland, during the World Government Summit. The meeting focused on exploring ways to collaborate between DP World Foundation and the Republic of Somaliland, particularly in the area of emergency relief. Latifa Al Qemzi, Director General of DP World Foundation, led the delegation, joined by Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD), Mohammad Musabeh Dhahi, CEO of Charitable Work Sector, Butti Abdulla Al Jumairi, Executive Director of the Corporate Support Sector, and Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, Board Member of Dar Al Ber Society. We look forward to strengthening our humanitarian partnerships and expanding our relief efforts to address the needs of communities in times of crisis. تشرفنا بلقاء فخامة الرئيس عبد الرحمن محمد عبد الله عِرُّو، رئيس جمهورية أرض الصومال، خلال القمة العالمية للحكومات، حيث تم مناقشة سبل التعاون بين مؤسسة "دي بي ورلد الخيرية" وجمهورية أرض الصومال في مجال الإغاثة الطارئة. تمثل مؤسسة "دي بي ورلد الخيرية" في هذا اللقاء لطيفة القمزي، المدير العام للمؤسسة، بحضور أحمد المهيري، المدير العام لهيئة دائرة الشؤون الإسلامية والعمل الخيري، محمد مصبح علي ضاحي، المدير التنفيذي لقطاع العمل الخيري، بطي عبدالله الجميري، المدير التنفيذي لقطاع الدعم المؤسسي، ومحمد سهيل المهيري، عضو مجلس إدارة جمعية دار البر. نتطلع إلى تعزيز شراكاتنا الإنسانية وتوسيع جهود الإغاثة لتلبية احتياجات المجتمعات في أوقات الأزمات.

We stand with the communities affected by the Typhoon Trami and the eruption of Mt. Kanlaon in the Philippines where we mobilised a total of 278 volunteers and a total of 1,872 hours to deliver life saving support to over 20,000 people. This included distributing 4,000 food packs, 300 boxes of canned food, clean drinking water and essential supplies such as hygiene products. At DP World Foundation, we are committed to long term recovery and resilience building, ensuring that affected communities can rebuild infrastructure, and create a sustainable future where communities can thrive. أكدت مؤسسة "دي بي ورلد الخيرية" التزامها بجهود الإغاثة وتعزيز قدرة المجتمعات على مجابهة الكوارث، وذلك من خلال تقديم المساعدات للمجتمعات المتضررة من إعصار ترامي وثوران بركان جبل كانلاون في الفلبين. وفي إطار "مبادرة الإغاثة الطارئة في الفلبين"، قدمت المؤسسة دعمًا حيويًا لأكثر من 20,000 شخص، حيث تم توزيع 4,000 سلة طعام، و300 صندوق من الأطعمة المعلبة، إضافةً إلى توفير مياه الشرب النظيفة والإمدادات الأساسية ومستلزمات النظافة للأسر المتضررة. وتواصل المؤسسة التزامها بمساعدة المجتمعات المتضررة على التعافي على المدى الطويل، وبناء قدراتها على الصمود، وضمان استعادة استقرارها وإعادة بناء مستقبلها.

We had the privilege to meet with H.E. Ambassador Nabila Makram, the head of the Technical Secretariat of The National Alliance for Civil Development Work in Egypt, and our key strategic partners, including H.E Dr. Abdulla BuSenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, Mohammed Musabh, Acting Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector in IACAD, and Dr. Rafia Ghubash founder of the Women's Museum (Bait Al Banat). The meeting, led by Latifa Al Qemzi, DP World Foundation Director General, focused on exploring synergies and potential collaborations between the respective organisations to further drive positive change and impact in the region. التقت معالي السفيرة نبيلة مكرم، رئيس الأمانة الفنية للتحالف الوطني للعمل الأهلي التنموي في مصر، بعدد من الشركاء الاستراتيجيين الرئيسيين لمؤسسة "دي بي ورلد الخيرية". حضر هذا اللقاء كل من سعادة الدكتور عبد الله بوسناد، مدير عام جمارك دبي، وسعادة محمد مصبح، المدير التنفيذي بالإنابة لقطاع العمل الخيري في دائرة الشؤون الاسلامية والعمل الخيري، والدكتورة رفيعة غباش المؤسس لمتحف المرأة (بيت البنات). ركز الاجتماع الذي ترأسته لطيفة القمزي، المدير العام لمؤسسة "دي بي ورلد الخيرية"، على استكشاف أوجه التعاون والشراكات المحتملة من أجل تعزيز التغيير الإيجابي وتحقيق التأثير في المنطقة.
