Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy was launched to strengthen Dubai’s position at the heart of the digital economy by attracting global companies and talent to the emirate and ensuring they can thrive. The chamber is committed to transforming the emirate into a leading global hub for advanced technologies, as well as supporting the interests of technology companies and strengthening the contribution of the digital industries to Dubai’s economic success story. The chamber’s pioneering programmes and initiatives are aimed at building the economy of the future and offering world-class digital infrastructure to support Dubai’s dynamic startup ecosystem. These include the ‘Create Apps in Dubai’ initiative, which seeks to equip UAE nationals with the skills required to develop advanced mobile applications. As part of the initiative, the chamber launched the Emirati Training Academy, an upskilling programme that seeks to empower the next generation of homegrown digital talent. The chamber also launched in 2023 the ‘Business in Dubai’ platform to promote an enabling business environment. Designed to simplify a range of processes for companies seeking to launch or expand their activities in the emirate, the initiative offers convenient access to comprehensive institutional services in cooperation with strategic partners, together with a business matchmaking service to connect companies with the right partners. Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is committed to driving the success of Dubai’s digital ecosystem and accelerating the emirate’s transformation into one of the world’s leading digital economies. The chamber hosts annually Expand North Star, the world’s largest event for startups and investors, which is organised by Dubai World Trade Centre. The eagerly anticipated gathering connects the world’s most sought-after startups with innovators, investors, entrepreneurs, and the founders of global success stories to explore exciting growth opportunities emerging in Dubai.

We recently joined the Dubai stand as part of our participation in Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon, where we also hosted two Masterclasses sessions to showcase our key initiatives and programmes including Expand North Star, Business in Dubai initiative, and the App Olympics, which were attended by over 160 participants. During the summit, we met with over 460 startups, investors, and tech leaders, highlighting Dubai’s digital potential and tech ecosystem.
