We are excited to share this latest update by Partner Jad Taha and Associate Nanda Al Qazaz on recent developments from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) regarding the regulation of personal data transfers outside the Kingdom. These include the introduction of appropriate safeguards for data transfers, a revised scope for risk assessments, and provisions for standard contractual clauses. This is yet another important development to Saudi Arabia's regulatory regime as the Kingdom adopts international best practices to the regulation of cybersecurity and data privacy.
