Alua Village Fuerteventura - All Inclusive

Had a fantastic time everything was exceptional 👌

Booked a week here with a sea view. On arriving we were allocated our room and shown a map of how to get to the room. We were advised about safe hire towel hire etc and given 2 tokens for drinks, the lady on reception explained we needed to exchange these for glasses at the pool bar. At no point did she explain or offer an upgrade of the facilities which we later found disappointing because we certainly would have considered it. Special mention to Josi on reception who was extremely helpful and friendly. We eventually found our room. The room was very spacious and clean. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. The beds are super comfy. The sea view I personally wouldn’t recommend as it was overlooked by roofs from other rooms. I don’t personally think it was worth paying extra. Food and drink. The food was nice and we found something to eat every day. Not very impressed with the cocktails as they were from a machine, however there was plenty of choice for other drinks. Overall the food and drink was good quality. The pool area. The pool area was lovely. Plenty of sun beds and the view was amazing. The animation team were a little annoying at times with the odd burst of loud music followed by a short mostly french commentary on the days schedule, but they were very friendly and not pushy when trying to get people involved. Beach. Beach was absolutely beautiful but be advised it’s a bit of a steep walk back up. Not a problem for us but maybe for the less mobile. Sun beds we 5 euro each and 5 euro if u wanted an umbrella. 2 beach bars close by that were reasonably priced. We had a few lovely days at the beach. Evening entertainment. The evening entertainment was geared towards the French certainly, however the team did there best to involve everyone. We found it mostly a bit boring. The best night was the karaoke when everyone seemed to get involved and enjoyed it. On conclusion we had a lovely holiday and aren’t the type of people to moan about silly little things like a cracked tile or seeing cats around the hotel! We quite enjoyed seeing the few cats that we saw on our way to the room and back. I’d say this hotel is a really good 3 star and we definitely got what we paid for. I’d definitely consider returning if it came up again at the right price

This hotel is not a four star hotel at best a three. The hotel is a little rough around the edges and needs a renovation. The first room we were allocated was dirty and the bathroom had mould around the bath and floor. Some reception staff were rude and unprofessional. We asked for a different room and firstly were told that they can accommodate but after we’re told we would need to pay extra but the couldn’t accommodate until the next day! So we spent one night in the dirty room and agreed to pay extra the following day. Next morning at reception ready to pay but was told payment was not required, we thought that we would have settle later. Move rooms and thought everything was ok however not all doors keys were working. So back to reception to be told that doors keys would not reset until we paid the amount due! We had offered to pay previous visit be were told not to and now half an hour later that we could not move unless we paid.! This was uncalled for and very unprofessional. We later established that some upgrades to similar rooms were given FOC and others were charged. Depending on the receptionist and if your ‘face fitted’. We did not mind paying it was the trust when first told not to pay and then told they would not reset the door key unless we did! We stayed over the Christmas week and it was a relaxing time. I recommend to upgrade to My Favourite Club as it add a little extra of not paying for a beach towels! Food was good, be it a lot of ‘recycling’ but you expect that in all inclusive. Overall a bad start but we made the best of it.

The beds were uncomfortable althought the rest of the expirience was okay. The pools outside were too cold to swim in for the time of year. It is about a 10 minute walk from the beach. Staff did not speak english well although they were helpful even with the limited understanding.
