Popular Guangzhou 4-star Hotels

I had stayed here many times before in previous years. It was always one of my favorite hotels when visiting Guangzhou. However the place has really gone downhill. The location is between Shipaiqiao and Gangding metro stations. It’s a great location as you’re on the Main Street for all the shopping malls and restaurants. You can also get a view of the Canton Tower from the room. The main entrance is behind the building. The lobby is beautiful. I use to be able to check in early (around noon) but not this time. Had to wait until 2pm. (No big deal) One of my favorite things about this hotel are the large spacious rooms. The bathrooms are huge as well. The TV’s have been upgraded since my last visit. But they removed the tv next to the bathtub. However things are falling apart. Stains, damage, moldy smell, urine smell in the bathroom, condom wrapper under the bed. And even with “do not disturb” on while we try to take a short rest, we have a cleaning lady banging on our door not remembering if the room had been cleaned or not. There is a fitness center, a spa, and restaurant, but we did not use any of those. Overall I’m disappointed. This hotel use to be one of my favorites in all of China and it’s sad to see this place go so down. Love the spacious rooms and location though

The stocky doorman was excellent. Always ready to help. The shop that sells yummy roast duck, char sew, soy & white cut chicken just across the overpass. The free self-service laundry is excellent.

When we arrived at the hotel and we were greeted by their reception. By the time we'd asked the direction to the underground, their manager Ms Wong (Ci Ci) stepped in. She has explained clearly how we can get there etc. Their service was very good and their facilities are really good. We didn't have any food at their Restraunt. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends when they visiting the DownTown of Guangzhou.

Location is not good for shopping or taking mrt. In fact it's quite isolated from downtown. Taxi required to make big U-turn in order to reach hotel. Checking in is norm but the staff that attended to me should smile or be more receptive would be better(some of them). Concierge should be trained to advise customers the surroundings. I faced one that didn't know anything ‘’一问三不知‘’on the night of check-in. Bf spread was fine for us.

Staffs are good. Very helpful and service minded. Breakfast is good. The room is clean and tidy. The location is ok. Near Mcdonald and many local food shops. but a bit far from metro station. Taxi to canton fair takes around 15 mins.

I always enjoy coming back to this hotel. Easy access to the airport and the ain attractions. A lively area. And staff are always courteous. Especially 大C- The breakfast is also very good.

Thank to the front staff who’s check us in early. Upgraded to elegant room instate. The room is newer according to the staff: Hotel have massage service which I find is convenient. You also can have dim sum next door. Not bad the location. About 10 min walk to Beijing Road. Hotel staff is helpful to check on relevant information about night cruise. Due to bad weather we can’t book any night cruise. Lastly I will be back again to Canton, good food and shopping.

Staying at the Ramada Hotel allowed me to enjoy the city even more. The staff is really friendly and helpful, is close to main attractions of the city and right next to the river. The common areas are good and the buffet breakfast had many options to choose from, you can see the Canton Tower from their pool area too where they also have gym, sauna and even indoor badminton courts. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Guangzhou again.

Not the good experience, the room that we staying was looks very old, full of the nursea smell, luckily only stay one night, the hotel is totally under expectations for me, the price I spent for this room is expensive and not worth, i was staying few hotel in china for my trip, this hotel is the expensive but is the most terrible. The hotel washing machine dryer is not work, I have set 55 minutes to dryer, after 55min, the machine still continue add xtra time, I have told the receptionist, they said just stop it, but after stop, the clothes I dry still very wet, the staff dint help me on it, seems they already knew the dryer problem.

From our efficient check-in to our wonderful room our stay was perfect. My children loved the room Octonauts and requested we come back and stay again as we only had one night. They allowed us to have a late check out, too. The location was ideal as we needed to be near the US Consulate. However, it was close to the museum, 10 minutes from Canton Tower. The neighborhood was fun to walk around as well. It is near the metro. Only surprise was it is a 30 minute taxi drive from the South train station. No matter because we will be back.
