Li Hongzhang's Former Residence
Li Hongzhang's Former Residence, also known as the Former Residence of the Li Family, was known as "Half a Street of the Li Family" at the time. It was the home of Li Hongzhang, a famous (and important) official of the late Qing Dynasty. Today, it is a key national cultural relic protection unit and one of the top ten tourist attractions in Hefei. It is a typical residential building in the Jianghuai region of the late Qing Dynasty. Li Hongzhang's Former Residence has five sections, including the gatehouse, front hall, middle hall, and Zouma Zhuanxin Building. The location of Fushou Hall is the middle hall, which is the largest private residential hall in the Jianghuai region of the late Qing Dynasty. Li Hongzhang "took the imperial examination in his youth, fought in the army in his prime, governed the country in middle age, and engaged in foreign affairs in his later years." The vicissitudes of life have changed everything, leaving behind historical buildings and some historical imprints. Ancient buildings are also a carrier for modern people to touch the traces of history...

Strolling through Hefei.
First impressions of Hefei, a chance encounter with Luzhou, gazing into the distance from Qingfeng Pavilion, paying respects at the Tomb of Bao Xiaosu, strolling along the wide streets lined with lush trees, adding a touch of pleasantness to the city, making people slow down and savor the tranquility of the city. Stepping into the Former Residence of Li Hongzhang, it feels like stepping into the turbulent late Qing Dynasty. This typical late Qing Jianghuai residential building quietly hides in the bustling city, adding a touch of tranquility to the noisy city life. The clanging of swords and horses of Zhang Liao's mighty army at Xiaoyaojin has transformed into a leisure park for generations of Hefei residents. Today, Xiaoyaojin is not only a fertile ground for historical accumulation but also a peach blossom land for modern people seeking spiritual solace.
