From Migration to Creating Job Opportunities and Entrepreneurship; The Inspirational Journey of Silsila Mahbuob, Human Rights and Refugee Advocate in Europe Silsila Mahboub, a human rights advocate, refugee and migrant rights activist in Europe, a champion of refugee women's rights, an entrepreneur, singer, and public speaker. After migrating to Bulgaria, Ms. Mahboob initially collaborated with the Caritas Sofia organization, working as a career counselor to help find employment for refugees and migrants. After 5 years of activity in this field, she began collaborating with the Bulgarian Refugee Women's Council, which focused on the rights of women facing violence. Thereafter, Ms. Mahbuob joined the International Organization for Migration (IOM) where she assisted unaccompanied minors. Continuing on this path, Ms. Mahbuob founded her own organization, which has been active since 2022. The primary goal of this organization is to raise awareness about refugees and migrants and introduce diverse cultures to facilitate their integration. In 2017, Ms. Mahbuob also organized a major cultural event to introduce Afghan culture, after which she was invited to the Bulgarian national television to speak about Afghanistan. From 2021 until the present, she has also appeared several times in the Bulgarian national media, discussing the situation in Afghanistan. In addition to her social and media activities, Ms. Silsila is also an entrepreneur, having established a garment factory, thereby creating employment opportunities for other refugees. She has a degree in economics, specializing in accounting, and since a year ago, she has also been a member of one of the parliamentary parties in Sofia. In the artistic realm, Silsila Mahbuob has been active in music and singing since 2019. She currently collaborates with Bulgarian and Indian musicians, working on various projects (songs) that she hopes will be released soon. It is also worth mentioning that in 2023, Ms. Mahbuob was recognized as an active citizen of the country. From Herat to Germany; The Journey of Marzia Panahi in Kabul and Beyond Borders Marzia Panahi, one of the successful women in the country and a native of Herat, Afghanistan, lived in this city until the end of her school years. In 2017, with her interest in the art of negotiation and diplomacy, she began her higher education at a university in Kabul. After a few months, Ms. Marzia started working as an employee of an organization that closely cooperated with the Canadian Embassy in Afghanistan. Then, in the middle of her fourth year of study, she started working as a reporter of war events and interviewing politicians with a focus on the peace process at Anadolu News Agency. Continuing her journey, Ms. Marzia joined the Office of the President of Afghanistan. Afterward, she established her own art gallery "Namad Art Gallery" Namad Gallery in Kabul to promote the diversity of Afghan art and support Afghan artists and artisans. Furthermore, in 2021, she co-founded a Home-Service application called "Khedmat" with a friend, providing people in Kabul with the opportunity to order and receive services at their homes. Moreover, Marzia was elected as a board member of AWCCI (Afghanistan Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry). Currently, in Germany, she works as a financial consultant at a German insurance company and has launched her own business there, collaborating with two other companies. Therefore, Ms. Marzia Panahi will be the guest on the "Speak For Change" platform this Sunday night. We will ask and hear more about her experiences, efforts, challenges, obstacles, and achievements. She has worked on various programs such as women's rights and USAID education, Radio and Television of National Qandahar, Hewad TV, and the Afghanistan National Journalists Union. Ms. Mohammadi has served as the Head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Afghanistan National Journalists Union, Human Resources Officer at the Institute for Economic and Peace Studies, staff at the Afghan Migrants Institute UNHCR, and has also worked as a host for Lemar Television programs. In addition to her professional achievements, Sherena is interest in Pashto literature.
