This is part of the work of the European Food Security Crisis preparedness and response Mechanism -
EFSCM, to strengthen the preparedness and responses of public
and private sectors by providing information available when crises arise. The dashboards on food supply and food security are one of the actions foreseen in the Communication Contingency plan for ensuring
food supply and food security in times of crisis. They gather quantitative monitoring indicators, a qualitative assessment of food supply and food security in the EU, and a collection of external sources under Alerts.
