Our vision is to be the region’s leading low cost, low carbon oil operator; a company that helps to expand Angola’s renewable sector to support local energy consumption, and to enhance the nation’s capacity as a global exporter of gas.
New Gas Consortium platforms safely completed
Azule Energy and partners proudly announce a major achievement with the completion of the Quiluma and Maboqueiro offshore platforms which are key to Azule Energy’s first non-associated gas development under the New Gas Consortium (NGC) project.
To celebrate, we gathered for the Quiluma deck’s load out and sail away ceremony at the Ambriz Petromar Yard.
With 2.5 million man-hours and zero lost time injuries, this milestone reinforces our commitment to safety and operational excellence.

NGC: Another Major Milestone Achieved! 🎉
We are excited to announce that, following the successful Sail Away of the Maboqueiro Jacket, its twin Quiluma Jacket has also left the construction yard after being loaded out onto its barge, sea-fastened and tugged out of Ambriz jetty.
Ambriz, Angola, that’s right! This structure that stands out for its size - an impressive weight of almost 2500 tons and an astounding length of 100 m - has been built in the Petromar yard.
The construction process was faced with challenges, including operations with multiple cranes performing lifts exceeding 1000 tons to ensure the successful execution of an innovative erection sequence which also involved a meticulous dimensional control survey.
2000 Angolans made it happen: this is the employment level reached even before considering the entire local supply chain it generated in the area. 👷🏾 👷🏾♂️ 👷🏾♀️
The Quiluma platform is a crucial component in the NGC project journey towards First Gas by the end of 2025. Huge congratulations to the entire NGC team for their tireless efforts and dedication in making one more milestone possible. 💫
