Ratings and Reviews
Lacking regional data which makes it pretty tough to use regularly
I really want to use Apple Maps for their privacy stance but alas I cannot. It still can’t do multiple stops, I don’t know how many times it has tried to route me to a place in the United States despite being very aware of my location, and most significantly it is missing many locations in major cities like Wellington or Auckland (business that have been there for 10 years). Reporting a missing places doesn’t seem to result in any change, even weeks later, and neither does having favourites. This impacts navigating via Siri whilst driving (it sends me to a place that doesn’t even remotely sound like what I asked for) and even Calendar (adding locations to events). I can only hope they improve it moving forward.
Edit feature needs improvement
I like Apple Maps and try to make Apple Maps better by reporting errors and adding new places that are not currently on Apple Maps to the map, but often when I report errors such as business location (poi) showing the incorrect location on the maps interface and move it to the correct place and submit it, Apple approve my change but it never updates to the correct location so it will still show the business in the wrong place on the map interface which is really annoying. Apple please fix this
Frustrating when opening maps
Frustrating to use when you have to use it for multiple addresses each day. When you get to your destination or near to it, if you swipe it to close it, when you open it again it should be ready to accept a new address or give an option to continue the previous route. Instead when you open it, it goes right back to your last route and starts giving you directions again, and you have to wait for it to then get out of the directions and end route, usually takes a few steps, just ridiculous. I swipe it up and close it out because I no longer need it, when I reopen it, I should be able to immediately enter a new address and go.
