Sweet but basic

I love these lights! They are bright and great and this app comes in handy when laying in bed. The remote has to have a direct point of vision to connect. For the app.. it could use some improvements although it’s nice! Some suggestions: The color wheel does not include WHITE as a preloaded color or even in the wheel itself, so I can only set my lights to WHITE using the remote. The timer is confusing and did not work. Did not really clarify what time I was setting it to turn off or on for. I’d like to be able to set my lights to turn on a certain time, like an alarm but for my lights. Not just a timer to turn the lights off (which did not work) . Also there are a few scenic options for the lights, but it would be really awesome if they allowed users to create their own color patterns and or share them! I know there are other apps for led lights that allow the consumer to create light shows and then share them for others to use themself. That would be so awesome! There are only a few color shows, not one for each color and only a few color combos other than RgB. Great lights so far :)

1. There is an RGB value button in the upper left corner of the "Color" interface. Click it, an interface will pop up, slide the RGB value inside to the maximum value (255), and then click "Ok", the color setting is successful.

2. You can also save some colors. There are three rows of buttons below the "Color" interface, and the four buttons in the first row all have the function of saving colors. ①Select any button in the first row first. ② Slide the color wheel (or click the RGB value button in the upper left corner, slide the RGB value you want in the pop-up box, and click "Ok" when you are done), the color will be automatically saved. ③ Uncheck the button, the color will not change.

3. The timing light has 2 timings, and other devices have 4 timings. The order from top to bottom is turn on the light, turn off the light, turn on the light, turn off the light. You can set time (24 hour clock) and week

4. The device has no custom mode for the time being, and we are considering adding this function to the next generation of devices

Remote doesn't work after the app upgrade

Update: I change the review to 4 stars! Nice seller and really quick response regarding the issue I mentioned. They said they were working on the issue and would fix it very soon. Highly recommend.

Original review: I bought two floor lamps last week. In the beginning, all the physical switch, mobile app and remote function well. But when I opened my mobile app this week there was a pop-up notification saying new firmware found. After I clicked Update, everything changed. The physical switch and the remote both didn't work, and the lamp started flashing and kept changes colors. I unplugged the two lamps, then the physical switch went back to work, but two remotes still couldn't control the lamps. I tried to unpaid the remote following the instruction, but I was stuck in the first step, the light didn't flash! When I bought the lamp, the remote function was a key point that I chose this product. But now I'm thinking of returning these. I contacted the seller, they just said unpair the remote which I already told them I was stuck in the first step! Don't know if I can get any useful product support.

Bad app for the product

I bought this light strip for the space above the kitchen cabinets. The light strip is okay and easy to install. The Keepsmile app to use with these lights is so frustrating that I'm ready to pull the light strip out and throw it away. In the app, there is a function to set a timer so the lights come on/go off at a time you set. It NEVER comes on at my selected time. Right now, it is set to turn on at 6:00 pm daily and off at 9:30 pm nightly. It will come on anytime between 7 pm and 9 pm...never consistent. Tonight, I manually turned it on at 7:30 pm because it was not coming on. I don't know when it finally goes off because I usually go to bed before it goes off some time after 9:30 pm.
The other annoying thing with this app are the ads. When you open the app, they show all of their Keepsmile products to buy plus when you click on your device to control it, you get other ads. Today when I opened the app to turn the lights on, I had to wait for the "commercial" to get done before I could proceed to the device managment and turn on the light. The light strip works from the app via Blutooth and not via your wifi. This means your device wiht the app has to be present to even turn on the lights. Don't waste your money or else put up with the headache and hassle.
