What’s New

Version 1.4.5

Improvements:
- When sending people an invite link, they will now automatically switch regions if your room is in a different region than them.

Fixed:
- Starting the app without an internet connection would later prevent in-app purchasing.
- Switching regions sometimes didn't actually switch without restarting the app.

Editors’ Choice

Whether playing in the same room or remotely, passions can run wild while trying to get everyone to agree in Wavelength. The more people playing, the better, as you’ll find little consensus on how, say, roller coasters rank on a scale from thrilling to terrifying. You might even learn something new about your friends. We all agree on one thing, though: It’s one of the best party games we’ve played.

Loved the board game, app is even better!

My coworkers and I would play this every day at lunch before the pandemic, and it was a great way to get to know everyone! Often one of the best parts of my day.

With us still virtual, I was really excited to see this as an app. They totally pulled it off. It’s fun as a group, but also works with friends not there in person. One of my besties and I play almost every night and text between answer trying to beat out high score. I wish there was a message feature within the app so we wouldn’t have to switch back and forth, but I assume this was meant to be played in person or with voice.

I also really appreciate that the development team is actively iterating to improve the experience. Keep it up!

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback, Sleepyhead7! It means a lot.

In our humble opinion, Wavelength is a game that is best played with at least voice chat. It's very possible we might introduce communication in-app in the future, but during our beta we saw that most people tend to prefer to self-organize using their own voice or video chat software (facetime, zoom, phone, etc).

Versatile Fun for All

I’ve never had this much fun on an app with my friends, this game gets brought up at every party and gathering I’ve been at since I downloaded it a few weeks ago.
The well curated variety of topics means no one gets left out and you get to learn more about anyone from your BFF to a complete stranger. Rounds don’t feel like they drag and often inspire light hearted debates which can be as mature (or immature) as you want haha. An incredibly versatile game, I’ve shared this with almost everyone I know and it’s been a hit.

Things I Love:
- gorgeous, cohesive, and clean design
- love that games don’t pause when anyone switches between apps
- can play in the same room or virtually
- minimal lag!!!!

Things I’d Like to See:
- star “difficulty” rating, certain ranges like “Original->Derivative” may be more for adults rather than younger folk
- clearer pack titles, love “Lickable” but the ranges had me a little confused
- different sounds for each available reaction
- stats on who gives the best clues, who gives the worst
