⛵ 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲. This project involved the construction of a new foldable transom platform, designed and installed by Nautor Swan Global Service, along with carbon fiber fenders for docking the tender boat and a ladder for easy access to the platform. Each component was meticulously crafted by CLC Composites. The process began with a 3D scan of the boat’s stern, followed by the creation of CNC-machined molds. These molds were then used in the lamination process with prepreg carbon fiber, with all layers precisely cut using a CNC plotter. The final step involved a detailed painting process to achieve a top-quality gloss carbon finish and white paint coating. The project was commissioned by the team behind the stunning 115-foot Swan yacht Moat, a sailing superyacht that races in Mediterranean regattas. ⛵ Another completed project: a new carbon mast and boom on the Río de la Plata. A few days ago, we completed the installation of the mast and boom on the Frers design 42ft sport boat “Too Match”. As all of our projects, we have worked in detail product and process engineering, including laminate and structural calculations. The mast, spreaders, top mast and boom were made from prepreg carbon fiber, all layers cutted in CNC plotter, autoclave cured at 4 atm. After de-moulding, all parts have been CNC machined. Last stage was a detailed painting process to obtain top-quality gloss carbon look finish. Additionally, the fittings and accessories are made of stainless steel 316L and hard anodized aluminum 6061T6, also CNC-machined, ensuring the highest quality and precision in every detail. The entire manufacturing and assembly process was carried out at our workshop in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and included the participation of NA Patricio Gutierrez, South American Rigging and Ignacio Regucci. --- ⛵ Otro proyecto completado: un nuevo mástil y botavara de carbono en el Río de la Plata Hace unos días, finalizamos la instalación del mástil y la botavara en el “Too Match” , velero de 42ft diseñado por Frers. Al igual que en todos nuestros proyectos, nos encargamos de la ingeniería de detalle y proceso, incluyendo los cálculos estructurales y de laminado. Tanto el mástil como las crucetas, el tope y la botavara fueron fabricados en fibra de carbono prepreg y curadas en autoclave a 4 atm. Todas las telas fueron cortadas en plotter CNC y, luego de desmoldar, se realizaron todos los mecanizados en CNC. La última etapa consistió en un minucioso proceso de pintura para obtener un acabado “carbon look” brillante de alta calidad. Además, los herrajes y accesorios fueron realizados en acero inoxidable 316L y aluminio 6061T6 anodizado duro, también mecanizados con CNC, garantizando la máxima calidad y precisión en cada detalle. Todo el proceso de fabricación y montaje se realizó en nuestras instalaciones en Buenos Aires, Argentina, y contó con la participación del AN Patricio Gutierrez, South American Rigging e Ignacio Regucci, con quienes trabajamos en conjunto para llevar adelante este proyecto. #yachtingindustry #sailingyachts #engineering #design #carbon #yachtcomponents #Metstrade #carbonmast
