ISA is the shipping agency with the largest geographical coverage in Argentina. We have 14 offices in the most important ports in the region, from Ushuaia to Bolivia. This enables us to ensure we render top-quality services all across and serves as a very powerful source of information and knowledge . We are also the only agency that covers the grain corridor of the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway (Hidrovía), with offices located in Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia and Uruguay. More than 20 years ago, we decided to take a chance and create a team to manage the agency business how we thought it should be managed. The market validated our initiative and we have been undisputed leaders since 2006. However, we are still striving to be game changers and we refuse to settle. These are our latest sailing draft predictions for San Lorenzo/Rosario ports complex: ☑️ December 01-15, between 10.25 and 10.55 meters. ☑️ December 16-31, over 10.36 meters steady. ☑️ January 01-15, over 10.36 meters steady. ☑️ January 16-31, between 10.20 and 10.40 meters. The spill underway guaranteed a decent level at Rosario area during December. But the ruling bars are now at Ramallo area which heavily affected by winds. Any northern winds may undermine the level in that part of the Parana River and reduce the sailing/arrival draft into the lower figures of the mentioned band. The present rain pattern in south of Brazil is not as steady which brings uncertainty as to whether the deep drafts of December will extend into January. 📢 Will monitor and update weekly.   • 📢 CHANGES TO AGP´S TOLL INVOICING SYSTEM. From ISA Buenos Aires. AGP has announced modifications to the toll invoicing structure, resulting in cost adjustments. The key points are:   A. Zona Común and La Plata: Reassigned to section 1.2 (previously 1.1), causing approximately a 50% increase in toll fees.   B. Martín García Channel Toll: AGP has decided to implement an additional toll for vessels using the Martín García Channel. Currently, only the Uruguayan authorities (CARP) charge for this route. This change would require vessels to pay tolls to both AGP and CARP. The adjustment impacts vessels sailing upstream in ballast condition to upriver ports via the Martín García Channel and returning downstream through the Emilio Mitre Channel. Due to heavy traffic, vessels typically use the Martín García Channel for inbound navigation.   C. Timbues Port Classification: Now classified under section 1.3 (previously 2.0). However, AGP still considers Timbues a separate port from San Lorenzo, so toll shifting charges will continue to apply for movements between San Lorenzo/San Martín and Timbues.   D. Bunkering at Zona Común: AGP will apply a shifting fee when vessels stop for bunkering at Zona Común if the next port is in section 1.2. This includes ports such as Zarate, Campana, Dock Sud, La Plata, San Pedro, and Buenos Aires.   An urgent meeting of the Navigation Chamber is scheduled for tomorrow, November 12th, to determine the next steps, including submitting a formal claim to AGP for reconsideration of these changes.   Further updates will be shared after the meeting.   For more details or updated PDAs, please contact us.   • 📢🛳 UPDATE ON KM 453 AREA. From ISA Buenos Aires. Following the successful refloating of MT Hansa Oslo earlier today, the Coast Guard conducted depth soundings in the KM 453 area.   The survey revealed a shallow spot, prompting a revision to the maximum sailing draft through the area. The new maximum sailing draft from terminals located north and including Quebracho berth is now set at 9.01 meters.   Further updates will be provided as soon as dredging works are ordered to improve the situation in the affected area.   • 📢🛳 GROUNDING AT SAN LORENZO PORT. From ISA Buenos Aires. Please be advised that MT Hansa Oslo ran aground on November 4th during afternoon hours while navigating downriver after departing from Renova berth. At the time of the incident, the vessel was in a laden condition with a draft of 9.84 meters, carrying approximately 32,000 tons of vegetable oils. As part of the refloating efforts, MT Hansa Oslo now sits outside the channel, and navigation through the area has been restored. However, as refloating maneuvers continue, navigation is likely to be temporarily disrupted again. We will keep you posted as the situation develops.
