Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive types of cancer, with exceptionally high mortality rates📈. While it is not the most common, the numbers are alarming: in 2024 alone, an estimated 66,440 new cases are expected, and 51,750 lives could be lost to this disease. Why is this happening? The main reason is the lack of effective screening methods to detect pancreatic cancer early. Most diagnoses occur when the cancer is already advanced, leaving limited treatment options. As a result, the 5-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is only 12.8%. At Oncoliq🧬 , we see this as a call to action. We aim to develop early detection methods to reduce cancer mortality rates.
