🚀 Important cornerstone laid: We are proud to supply one of Europe’s largest green hydrogen production plants, a key pillar of Salzgitter AG's SALCOS® program for low-carbon steelmaking. 👉 Starting in 2026, this 100 MW electrolysis plant will produce around 9,000 tons of green hydrogen annually—powering the transition to virtually carbon-free steel. At the ceremony Sami Pelkonen, Executive Vice President, Green Hydrogen at ANDRITZ, stated: “We are very proud to be making a contribution to the conversion to climate-friendly steel. 🚀 Proud to share: Suzano's new pulp mill in Ribas do Rio Pardo, delivered by ANDRITZ, has achieved nominal capacity in under six months— nearly four months ahead of schedule! 👉 On January 8, the mill reached 1 million tons of pulp production, marking a significant milestone in record time. ✅ Fastest ramp-up: Learning curve completed in December 2024, with consistent daily production exceeding 7,203 t/d. ✅ State-of-the-art technology: ANDRITZ supplied a highly resource-efficient mill with cutting-edge automation, digitalization, and chemical recovery systems. ✅ Sustainability at the core: The mill includes a SulfoLoop sulfuric acid plant, making it self-sufficient in sulfur recycling and reducing environmental impact. 💡 The project demonstrates how innovation, expertise, and collaboration drive efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence in the pulp industry.
