    🎧 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝! I’ve been testing spatial audio and general audio quality across most available options in Unity (also applicable to FMOD and Wwise), and honestly, the results were surprising—lots of coloration and switching artifacts. But don’t take my word for it—have a listen for yourself. 👇 What you’re hearing: 👂 Binaural audio using dry HRTFs (no reverb). 👂 The source signal is white noise—continuous and broadband, making it ideal for hearing even subtle alterations. 👂 The sound source moves along a half-circle, from the right ear to the left ear. 👂 Signals were rendered in Unity and played back in Reaper for comparison using our A/B conversion plugin. 👂 Solutions other than atmoky are anonymized. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫? Any artifacts? Switching issues? Alterations in tonal quality? Let me know your thoughts—what stands out to you? 🚨 Why does this matter? If audio quality plays a role in your immersive audio productions, atmoky trueSpatial should absolutely be on your radar.     A few weeks ago, I met Clemens Amon who demoed what his company, atmoky, has been building - essentially, the future of spatial audio. The demo was awesome - using an iPad I navigated around a virtual room and visited different audio stations to experience sound in different contexts. Fortunately, I found a video of this same demo which makes up for my poor description of the experience (make sure you have the sound on) 🔊 . Atmoky's mission is to ‘bring the magic of human hearing to the digital world, creating more immersive and engaging experiences’. Last night I attended the Immersive Audio Podcast produced by 1.618 DIGITAL, where Atmoky took everyone through the workflow in Unity which was great to see. If you're interested, they offer a range of tools and SDKs to enhance the audio experience in games, virtual reality, and web applications I’d recommend keeping an 'ear' out for these guys (pun intended) 👂 #spatialcomputing

I couldn’t resist sharing an early look with you. atmoky trueSpatial for Audiokinetic Wwise will feature two main plugins: 🎛️ 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐫 (name TBD): Renders both interactive sound objects (1/2-channel audio with source effects and metadata) and audio beds (e.g., 7.1.4 or ambisonics) to any supported output format—binaural or loudspeaker configurations. Think of it as a virtual audio endpoint, delivering consistent sound quality across every OS/platform and supporting an almost unlimited number of high-quality audio objects. 🎛️ 𝐁𝐮𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐫 (name TBD): Renders multi-channel bus signals to either binaural or loudspeaker setups, using the familiar atmoky Ears workflow. Plus, we’re including 4 metadata plugins for: 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐍𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬, 𝐋𝐅𝐄 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧, and 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐨 𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐡. ⏰ 𝐎𝐧 𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞?     🎧 Ever tried having 251 sound objects active in #unity? From a sound designer’s perspective, that might sound like overkill (as it’d be typically grouped it into an ambience mix), but I wanted to hear what’s possible! 🔊 (please use headphones for binaural audio!) 😄 👉 Question for sound designers and game devs: How many active sound objects do you typically use in your interactive sound designs? When there’s ambience plus individual sound objects, what’s your sweet spot for creating an immersive experience without overwhelming the listener? Or are there other limitations, like performance, CPU load, or spatial accuracy, that impact your approach? 💬 Please drop your thoughts or DM me! I’m curious about your experiences and insights. Also, references to research in that field is welcome.
