It's Waves Vienna week, and as part of the run-up, Austrian Music Export is pleased to invite you to the networking event "Meet the European Music Export Offices", part of the European Music Export Exchange (EMEE) mission to Vienna. In less than a week, the ninth edition of the Bundesministerium für europäische und internationale Angelegenheiten (MFA Austria)'s NASOM - The New Austrian Sound of Music will officially kick off. Popfest Wien has announced the complete lineup for this year's festival - including the Popfest Wien Sessions, organized by mica - music austria and presented by the Wirtschaftsagentur Wien. Have you heard? A new study has shown that the Austrian music industry is worth €7.5 billion annually, accounting for 2.8% of the country's GDP. This economic powerhouse depends on a core of just 7,000 musicians and creatives, each of whom is responsible for an average of 16 additional jobs.
