Meet the members of the new CIRSE Executive Committee! This week: CIRSE Annual Meeting SPC Chairperson Gerry O'Sullivan "I intend to continue the great work that has been done before me. Adam Hatzidakis did a tremendous job organizing the SPC for 2023 and 2024. If I can deliver a congress as successful as Adam's, I will have rocked it. In practical terms, CIRSE is the global home of IR; therefore, I aim to increase the involvement of some of our newer members and countries in the congress. Looking ahead, AI is clearly going to play a key role in diagnostic radiology. It remains to be seen where it will lead in IR, but SPHAIRE will help address this question. Clinical practice in IR has always been dear to my heart. I realized long ago that even if I am the best at a particular treatment, unless I engage directly with general practitioners and patients, I will always play second fiddle to the claims and interests of other specialties.
