Introducing Refit Denim, the latest innovation in sustainable paper from Favini. This unique product combines the spirit of up-cycling with a creative twist, using recycled denim fibers from old jeans to craft high-quality, eco-friendly paper.   The unique look of Refit Denim is inspired by its main source material: old jeans. The process starts by sorting used jeans and removing zippers, buttons, and labels. The leftover fabric is shredded and mixed with wood pulp to create the paper.   By blending textile waste with cellulose fibers, Refit Denim not only gives new life to discarded materials but also offers a stylish nod to its origins. Totes Gebirge is a hauntingly beautiful work of art, which deals with dying and mourning by bringing together two independent photographic modes, of Agnes Prammer and Johann Schoiswohl. In their conception of landscape and portrait, both are united by the insistence on deliberately slowing down the photographic depiction process as an artistic credo. The Design of this hauntingly beautiful artbook was realized by Sensomatic, a graphic design studio from Vienna and a big part of it played the choice of the paper.: “Due to the theme (mourning, death, the ephemeral, time), we were looking for a semitransparent paper  IBO. We used a paper coated on one side because two very different photographic positions are juxtaposed in the book Totes Gebirge. Bindakote White was the right choice after a test print. For the dust jacket, we opted for Starkraft.” shares Christine Zmölnig. “We are moved by these photographs, by both their dark depths and disturbed surfaces, and by their emotional mysteries. Something seems to reach out to us from these portraits, but as soon as we speculate about what this “something” might be, we are thrown back onto ourselves, into our own secret and unknown desires and motivations” mentions Stephen Zepke, in the skillfully accompanying texts. In the last decade, branding has seen a growing trend towards what critics call #blandification or #blanding. This refers to simplifying logos and brand identities, often making them more uniform, less distinctive, and in many cases, devoid of personality.
