At GPV, we care about people, communities, and our planet. Across our operating business units, our colleagues actively engage in activities that support and strengthen local communities. Last week, a group of our colleagues from GPV Electronics CH in Switzerland volunteered at the Red Cross headquarters in Lugano, Switzerland, supporting their essential humanitarian work. Following the Swiss Red Cross ‘2 for Christmas’ initiative in December 2024, GPV Electronics CH has supported by purchasing ready-made boxes, organising a collection of food and hygiene products at the electronics factory. Our Swiss colleagues helped preparing clothing and food parcels for distribution to less fortunate at the Swiss Red Cross headquarters. “A big thank you to our colleagues who are dedicating their time and energy to this cause. Their effort reflects our company value of acting responsibly. And of course, our appreciation goes to the Swiss Red Cross for their continuous efforts in supporting communities,” says Annalisa Guidi, MD at GPV Electronics CH. The ‘2 for Christmas’ is a national initiative, aiming to collect food and basic necessities for less fortunate. The collection closed on 18 January 2025, and a total of 8,417 kg of products were allocated to the Ticino area of Switzerland. It is estimated that the initiative can offer concrete help to about 1,250 people in the Lugano area of Switzerland. Our electronics factory in Switzerland is located in Mendrisio. #DoMoreWithLess #AccomplishMore #OneGPV

Our safety focus continues. On 23 January 2025, GPV Electronics LK in Sri Lanka celebrated 1,000 days with 0 LTIs. An impressive accomplishment from our team in Sri Lanka! “This accomplishment is a result of our safety culture with a strong focus on safety policies and training programmes. Next, we will promote near miss programmes as an ongoing priority to maintain a safe, productive and innovative work environment. We are all part of making this a reality, and I am truly proud of my colleagues,” says Chandana Dissanayake, MD at GPV Electronics LK. To celebrate, our colleagues in Sri Lanka had arranged different competitions, stage plays, as well as recognition of their ‘near-miss reporting heroes’. The competitions were not just events; through the activities, the aim was to educate and inspire everyone to remain committed to the safety culture in GPV. “Our management team, EHS team, and all our dedicated people in Sri Lanka have done a great job in fostering a strong culture of safety. Their efforts have significantly raised awareness about workplace safety, and I congratulate them with this remarkable achievement,” says Martin Kjærbo, COO. Since 2023, we have increased safety awareness across our entire organisation. With safety awareness campaigns, competitions, safety walks, and proactive near miss registration, we have built a safety culture where everyone prioritises not only their own safety but also that of their colleagues. In 2024, we reached a total LTI rate of 0,5 for GPV. #SafetyFirst #ElectronicsManufacturingServices #AccomplishMore

Europe's Technological Crossroads: Time for Action The electronics industry is vital to Europe’s innovation and economic resilience. Nevertheless, Europe’s share of global PCB production has decreased from 11.2 percent to 2.3 percent in two decades. Without urgent action, we risk falling further behind. In a feature in Børsen this week, CEO of GPV, Bo Lybaek highlighted that “Europe must act boldly to remain competitive. The European Chips Act is a step in the right direction, but we need a broader European Electronics Act to support the entire value chain and boost innovation. I want to thank Ursula von der Leyen and the European Commission for their initiative with the Competitiveness Compass, which rightly prioritises focus on innovation, reducing bureaucracy, and strengthening supply chains. However, it is decisive that the initiative does not introduce new administrative burdens, which require further resources but instead simplifies and accelerates European competitiveness.” We need reduced bureaucracy, an innovation-friendly business climate, and improved European framework conditions #AccomplishMore #Innovation #Electronics #EuropeanLeadership #Competitiveness  Read the full feature (Available only for subscribers, Danish only): https://lnkd.in/dNwV6fv5

RE-LAYOUT OF ELECTRONICS FACTORY IN THAILAND COMPLETED In mid-December 2024, our team in Thailand completed the re-layout activities of our refurbished, former mechanics factory in Thailand. The electronics factory is now 22,000 sqm. “I am very proud of my team here in Thailand. They have worked hard to ensure a smooth translation of equipment, products, and people. Next step for us is to work with 5S activities to ensure optimal efficiency within the newly structured production and support areas,” says Bjorn Fiskers, MD at GPV Electronics TH and GPV Mechanics TH, both situated in the Bangkok area. The refurbished factory building was handed over to Bjorn Fiskers and his team in May 2024 after moving our mechanics production into a new factory building in close proximity to the electronics factory. The re-layout activities have included relocating equipment and machinery, including the SMT and THT areas, the coating area, testing, box-build assembly and Kardex. The electronics factory also features a new SMT overpressure room equipped with a new stand-alone control system. “The refurbishment is a significant milestone in further strengthening our operational footprint in Southeast Asia. It has been a huge layout exercise, where almost no area has been un-touched, and I am impressed about the execution without significant impacts to our current deliveries. A big congratulations to our team in Thailand for their dedicated work, making us able to ensure service excellence for our customers,” says Martin Kjærbo, COO at GPV. In July 2024, solar panels were installed on top of the factory building, supporting our target of a 70% reduction in greenhouse gas intensity in our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2028 (from a 2020 baseline). Q3 2024: Keeping pace in challenging market GPV reported sales of DKK 2.2 billion and earnings (EBITDA) of DKK 186 million for Q3 2024. A slight decline compared to the same period in the record year of 2023. “We are in a special situation that we have not experienced before. We call it a rebalancing phase after the explosive demand for electronics products during and after the coronavirus pandemic. In 2024, we see a continued normalisation of the inventory situation and market rebalancing leading to declining demand. However, we confidently anticipate increased optimism in the industry in 2025,” says Bo Lybaek, CEO at GPV Group A/S. Under the heading “Simplify & Optimise”, GPV has implemented changes aimed at reducing costs and increasing efficiency. Investments are lower than in previous years, and GPV has a flexible setup enabling production capacity on main general production lines to be moved between Operating Business Units to adapt efficiently to customer needs and demand.
