Let’s have Breakfast! 🥐🥞 At Holzkern, we believe that starting the day together strengthens our team culture and improves collaboration. We therefore organize regular corporate breakfasts to which all colleagues are invited. The “Veganuary” themed breakfast was the perfect choice for January. Some are already familiar with vegan options, but for most colleagues this was a great opportunity to get to know new products and be convinced by the taste. Of course, there was also plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables to choose from Colleagues from different departments get to know each other over breakfast, so this is a great opportunity for newer employees in particular to talk to colleagues. Eating a balanced diet and recharging your batteries for the day is an ideal combination for us! Meet our Team: Sanja These are the unique faces of Holzkern that drive the company to its best performance. They are the reason for our success🏆 and we are thankful for each and every one! We are proud to introduce them. Today we introduce you to Sanja. She has been a Recruiter in our People & Culture team for over a year. In addition to recruiting, Sanja also manages the onboarding journeys of all new employees in Austria and Germany and is responsible for planning our great corporate events and employer branding. Sanja is known for her energy and humor - no wonder, because she does professional stand-up performances. So speaking in front of a large audience is nothing new to her. She is dog mom to “Feli”, a real whirlwind with at least as much energy as Sanja has. Today we would like you to meet Michael, who we call Franky. 🧸 Franky is Junior Videographer at Holzkern. His main tasks are filming and editing videos for internal and external communication. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he said that it was working in a well-established team on different projects. 🎥 🎬 In his time outside of work he enjoys traveling to new places and discovering different cultures through meeting people but also through food. He has traveled to a new country each year since he turned 20 years old. ✈️ 🚆 A little fun fact about Franky: His favorite animals are bears. 🧸 However, he has not encountered any on his numerous travels. Which we are frankly 😉 very happy about.

Over the past few weeks, they have consulted thousands of customers, organized late night shopping sessions so that you could shop in a relaxed atmosphere after work and were on hand with help and advice. Meet our Team: Tanja Where would Holzkern be without our amazing employees? They are the reason for our success🏆 and we are thankful for each and every one of them! Today we want to introduce Tanja. As Customer Relations Assistant, she is there for all our customers' concerns. She helps with advice on finding the ideal gift for a loved one, she makes sure that a product is repaired when it is returned to us and she goes in search of parcels if a parcel service has delivered them incorrectly. Tanja is known for her positivity, collegiality and creativity, which she also likes to demonstrate at upcycling events. In her spare time she loves to read all sorts of books, plays video games, paints and embroiders. We are happy to have you aboard, Tanja!

Upcycling Event Last week we hosted our third Upcycling Event and it was an incredible experience! 🌟 Together, we transformed old, broken, and forgotten pieces of jewelry or watches into stunning new creations – blending sustainability with style. Our colleagues brought unique treasures with special stories and with the help of their skilled craft(wo)menship, those pieces found new life as beautiful, personalized jewelry or utensils. The creativity and enthusiasm were truly inspiring! Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event so special. We’re thrilled to see how upcycling can bring fresh energy to cherished pieces. Discussing Management Our managers are responsible for our day-to-day operations and also take care of planning for the coming weeks and months. Many of them have been working at Holzkern for years, others are even fresher in their management position, so their experiences vary greatly. We have therefore decided to launch a new format for management training instead of a traditional training programme: the Manager Table. Various topics are discussed from their perspectives. Solutions are outlined and thought through, best practices are explained and also mistakes are analysed.
