Today, R-Space received a super big honor, being chosen to be one of ESA’s “Rising Stars 2024”. Many thanks to ESA’s Director for Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness, Geraldine Naja as well as to Luca del Monte and Gianluigi Baldesi for selecting us. Succeed in Space: In the last decade, doing business in space has changed dramatically. Many new opportunities have opened up, but competition in this field is fierce. Time to market is more essential than ever before. Being the first in orbit to successfully demonstrate a new technology ensures success on the market. R-Space understands this and helps you to achieve this before your competitor can.

Live views of the re-entry of the Starship. it is the coolest thing I have seen in my career. To experience something like this alone will motivate the present and future generations of engineers. SpaceX rocks! #spaceexploration

We are happy to announce the recent hand-over one of our satellite busses as a thermal model to the research company FOTEC Forschungs- und Technologietransfer GmbH. The model (in this case a 2U) is equipped with twelve PT1000. FOTEC is using this model to validate their new large thermal vacuum chamber (TVT) which has a shroud volume of 2 cubic meter. The TVT was established within the COIN project DEEP (Diagnostic Equipment for Electric Propulsion), funded by FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency. In the last week, the chamber was successfully cycled between -80°C and +80°C. Great test for FOTEC and we are thrilled to be able to prove flawless operation of our satellite bus in this large temperature range. A big shout out to Werner Engel and Peter Saria from FHWN Aerospace Engineering for the smooth test preparation and execution.

In a week from now, the "Small Satellites Systems and Services Symposium" (https://lnkd.in/egpejrVF) will start. Right in time for this, R-Space is announcing IOD/IOV flight opportunities for 2025. Please get in contact with us if you have an amazing technology and the only thing between you and your market success is a successful in-orbit demonstration. I am looking forward to many B2B meetings to discuss your needs and how R-Space can help. #Cubesat #cubespace #CubeSatMarket #SatelliteTech #SpaceInnovation #newspace #SpaceTech #SpaceExploration #SatelliteServices #SatelliteData #SpaceScience #SpaceEngineering #RemoteSensing #SatelliteSystems #OrbitalTechnology #SpaceInfrastructure #SatelliteApplications

Our CEO, Carsten Scharlemann, together with Susanne Katzler-Fuchs from Brimatech Services GmbH, Carlos Fernández de Retana (representing also accent Inkubator GmbH) and Christian Kloesch laid out the funding opportunities for start-ups in the lower Austria region and discussed R-Space's vision how IOD/IOVs can change the way upstream technology for space is developed. It was a great evening with hundreds of visitors. Thanks to Monika Fischer for organizing this event. #SME #Startup #IOD #IOV

We are happy to announce that R-Space is now part of the ESA Marketplace (https://lnkd.in/dMB8qE6y), ESA’s commercialization gateway. The intention of this marketplace is to accelerate the business-to-business transactions and enable partnerships and cooperation in a very target-oriented way. We are looking forward to use this marketplace to its fullest potential.

While dedicated IOD/IOV satellites are our core business, R-Space also ventures beyond that and conducts conceptual studies of other satellite applications. We are very proud to announce that the Technisches Museum Wien mit Österreichischer Mediathek (Vienna) invited us to exhibit one of our results from such a study - the Black Eye satellite. Black Eye is an Earth observation satellite with a sub-meter resolution capability. One of the special features of Black Eye is its in-orbit mobility, allowing it to change altitude of its low Earth orbit several times over its lifespan and to evade threats in orbit such as space debris and others. If you are in or around Vienna, drop by and see for yourself. If not, come and visit us at in our exhibition booth at the IAC24 in Milano in October this year. #IAC24 #CubeSat #earthobservation #iod #iov
