🚀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗟𝗠𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 OBJENTIS Software Integration GmbH joined forces with SBA to investigate the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) for transforming natural language test cases into executable formats. With a strong focus on 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, the project prioritized open models and self-hosting solutions. 🔍 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: In a comprehensive evaluation, 𝗚𝗣𝗧-𝟰 emerged as the top performer, though 𝗟𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝟮 𝟳𝟬𝗕 showed promising potential as a close contender. Additionally, 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝟳𝗕 delivered impressive results despite having fewer parameters. Efforts in 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲-𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 revealed opportunities to enhance model performance further. 💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 “𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁”? This initiative offers small-scale digitalization projects tailored to company needs, typically valued at €30,000–€40,000, fully funded by the European Commission and FFG Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH. 🌟 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀!   🏆 Researchers of the MATRIS-CALGO team and the CORE team received the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 for their contribution on "𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁-𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀" at the 36th International Conference on Testing Software and Systems (ICTSS) 2024 in London!  The authors devise and evaluate machine learning algorithms that use matrix complexity metrics as features for estimating the t-way coverage of randomly generated software test sets. This new approach provides a good estimation while being faster and more scalable than a state of the art tool for the exact computation of combinatorial t-way coverage.
